Big Love Season Four Air Date and Spoilers

Big Love went out with a bang last Sunday killing off a major character and introducing a couple new storylines for season four.  So when will we get to see these new episodes?

Big Love co-creator, Will Scheffer told Korbi that the fourth season is set to air in January.  He also said that much like season three, four will only contain ten episodes.  Hey as long as they were as good as the ten from season three, we're okay with it.

Also, Will said that Alby's little co-conspirator / wife played by Anne Dudek (of House fame) will return next season even though she's not tied to a contract.

Will also teased with a little season five spoiler to.  That's right, season five.  According to Will, the sexual issues between Ben and Margene will not back back until then.

Big Love: Season Three Finale and Season Four Spoilers

Big Love's incredibly short ten episode season three comes to an end this Sunday with "Sacrament."  HBO has been fairly tight lipped about the finale, revealing this as their tagline on the official website: "Final Showdown: It's Nicki's day of reckoning... Barb faces a spiritual crisis and Margene takes charge... but who will be the last man standing?"

Ausiello Files has learned from Bill Paxton that this season finale, unlike last, will end in a cliffhanger.  He also reveals that next season, the creepy J.J. (Zeljko Ivanek) will be back for season four in a big way.

Last week J.J. revealed that he may or may not have had a daughter with Nicki when he was previously sealed to her.  Nicki refused to see whoever the girl was that he had with her.

Nicki was previously sealed.. but did she also have a daughter?

Big Love Spoilers: Means of Death

We're dying to know who's going to kick the bucket on the season three finale of Big Love.  So much so that we were willing to make that pun.

As another update to the mystery of who's going to die, Ausiello teases us with the means of this person's death.  According to his latest column, Ausiello reveals that the person who dies will die of suffocation.  (Well, he technically said "Su****a**on," but we filled in the blanks for you)

So far we know that Sarah is safe.  As a refresher, you can take a look at this list of potential victims and their respective odds of dying.

Bill

Don't worry ladies, only one of you is at risk.  Sorry, Nicki.

Big Love Spoilers: Sarah is Safe!

Anyone who follows our Big Love spoilers knows by now that we still have another major death happening in the season three finale.  Earlier this week we hinted that Sarah might die during the season finale.

Now, thanks to Ausiello's latest spoiler column, we're happy to say that Sarah does not die on the Big Love season finale!  So now the question is, which major character is dying if it's not Sarah!?

Amanda Seyfried as Sarah Henrickson

Fear not Sarah, you're here for season four.

Big Love Spoilers: Avenging Kathy

If you're as devastated about what happened to Kathy on last week's Big Love, then you'll be as happy as we were to hear form Big Love's creator, Will Scheffer.  When Kristin emailed the boss man if we're ever going to get vengeance for what Roman did to Kathy, Scheffer responded by saying, "Oh, you'll get it somehow."

Oh and for those of you who are still dying to know who the second death of this season will be, maybe the recent promotional posters for Sarah that read "Dying to get out" offer up some sort of clue.  I suppose her film career after Mamma Mia! might be ready for her.

Big Love Spoilers: A Deadly Update

As you already know if you follow our Big Love spoilers, there's going to be two deaths on the show this season.  Fans are dying to know if Sarah's miscarriage on Sunday's Big Love counted as one of the two deaths we told you about.

According to Ausiello, the two deaths are definitely non-fetus related deaths.  Sorry pro-lifers, not this round.  As for an update on the deaths, Ausiello says one occurs in the season finale and one before then.

Amanda Seyfried as Sarah Henrickson

Poor Sarah was planning on keeping her baby and raising it with Heather.

Big Love Spoilers: Two Deaths and a New Business

We're about to lose one major character and a supporting player this March on HBO's fantastic third season of Big Love.  While we don't have a direct answer for you, Michael Ausiello dropped some very good hints in his blog and in his latest spoiler column.

According to Ausiello, he gave the following odds on which major character is dying:

  • Nicki: 16%
  • Frank: 22%
  • Lois: 11%
  • Sarah: 17%
  • Roman: 13%
  • Alby: 9%
  • Ana: 3%
  • Wanda: 9%

Now, although we got no hints on who the supporting character will be, Ausiello also told us that one of the characters that dies is a man and the other is a woman.  Detectives, begin your work.

As for the less morbid Big Love spoilers, Sarah's baby daddy, Scott (Aaron Paul) returns on March 15 and Margene stars her own business selling braclets.

Ginnifer Goodwin as Margene Heffman

Margene has a 0% chance of dying and a 100% chance of getting her own business!

Big Love Spoilers: Road Trip!

In the upcoming episode of Big Love that airs February 24th, entitled "Come, Ye Saints," there's going to be a 2,500 mile road trip that Ausiello Files promises is the finest hour of television all season.

According to Ausiello, we'll laugh, we'll cry, and we'll throw a parade in honor of the lead actresses on the show, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, and Ginnifer Goodwin.  Now for the Big Love spoilers on what's going to happen.  Apparently big stuff including more Ben and Margene stuff, Sarah pregnancy stuff, and Nicki birth control stuff.

Remember, all these goodes happen in two weeks, but next week we also have a new episode, "For Better or for Worse."

Big Love Spoilers: "Prom Queen"

It looks like this Sunday's Big Love is going to have a Prom like all Proms should be.. full of drama!  When Sarah tries to get Franky to take her to pro, Rhonda is going to end up losing her mind.  Meanwhile, Franky ends up hooking up with Heather on prom night!  That's right, Ms. Stuck Up Heather Tuttle will finally be getting a little action!  We can't wait to see "Prom Queen."

Big Love Spoilers: Margene's Mission

The actress who plays Margene on Big Love, Ginnifer Goodwin recently told Kristin Dos Santos about her character's role this season.  Goodwin said the following about her character:

"Margene is on a self-discovery mission this year. She's trying on all kinds of identities and discovering that she's incapable of handling trauma which is always very exciting. I'm not going to tell you what the trauma is. And I have to say that Margene's powers of manipulation have perfected a bit, having Nikki as a role model"
