Who is Getting Married on Bones?

Two people will get married to conclude this season of Bones. That much we know.

Of course, that still leaves the pesky question of: Who will it be?!?

Executive producer Hart Hanson would only tell TV Guide Magazine: “One of the four women in our cast will be getting married,” but he did size up the odds of each candidate...

Booth and Brennan?
“It would take a lot to get there, but it’s conceivable," said Hanson.
TV Fanatic Odds: 100-1.

Angela and Hodgins?
Said Michaela Conlin: “Although Wendell is turning out to be more than a roll in the hay, Angela is very in love with Hodgins and will eventually end up with him."
TV Fanatic Odds: 4-1.

Daisy and Sweets?
“These two are a hot-and-heavy couple,” said Hanson.
TV Fanatic Odds: 25-1.

Camille and... ?
“Cam will be meeting a love interest this season,” said Hanson.
TV Fanatic odds: 10-1.

WHO YOU THINK IT WILL BE?

Producer Promises: The Gravedigger Will Return to Bones

Remember when the Gravedigger buried Brennan and Hodgins alive on season two of Bones?

Many viewers do. But they're worried the show itself has forgotten. After all, we haven't seen this villain since.

Fortunately, producer Stephen Nathan told Korbi Ghosh of Zap2It that this issue will be revisited. When? He wouldn't say.

"We're exploring that idea because the Gravedigger, as the fans know, was set free," Nathan said. "And we're thinking there might be an attempt at trying to bring her to justice. To get rid of her once and for all. Whether that will be successful or not, we're not sure."

Investigating

As for that infamous letter? Nathan wouldn't even admit it was written for Booth.

"We're asking Brennan if we can see the letter, but she's not forthcoming," he joked. "Brennan won't tell us anything about it. We keep asking her. We even asked Emily [Deschanel, who plays Brennan] to ask her. We keep begging her for the answer. I don't know if she's telling us the truth or not."

What about other spoilers and storylines to come?

"Big emotional episodes [are on the way]," Nathan teased. "After the 100th episode, Booth and Brennan's relationship will be different. We'll be exploring where they go after that episode."

What does that mean? It's unclear. Where can you catch up on the latest Bones quotes? Right here and now!

A Bones Wedding: Confirmed... and Confusing

Heading into the second half of season five, Bones viewers will suddenly have a new, pressing question to ponder:

Who the heck will be getting married?!?

Producer Stephen Nathan has come out and told Entertainment Weekly that two characters will tie the knot later this year: “There will be a wedding,” he said. “But I can’t really say who or what the circumstances are.”

Any guesses, readers, as to who will be hearing wedding bells in the near future?

Booth and Brennan Promo Pic

It seems incredibly unlikely that the pair in question will be Booth and Brennan. But Nathan says their relationship will change in some manner after the show's 100th episode.

“For most of this season we’ve seen Booth struggling with his feelings for Brennan,” the producer said. “And I think after the 100th, they might be a bit more resolved. We’ll start off in a new direction for both of them.”

Does that mean they'll actually end up in bed together, something the series teased last night, but never followed through on? No.

“I can’t see that happening this season,” Nathan said. “I think their relationship is going to take a far more interesting turn. I think it’ll be much more interesting than just consummating the relationship. It’ll stir everyone up a lot more.”

Consider us intrigued - and excited for Bones to return with new episodes this Thursday.

Eric Millegan: Booked for Major Bones Episode

It's official: Eric Millegan won't just return to Bones.

He'll reprise his role as Zack on the show's 100th episode, scheduled to air on April 8.

Eric Millegan as Zack

As previously reported, the milestone installment will flashback to Booth and Brennan’s first assignment together. Says executive producer Stephen Nathan to Entertainment Weekly:

“We’ll see Zack during their first case and we’ll see the first meeting between Booth and Zack.”

Altogether now, Bones fans: Hooray!

Bones Prepares Flashback Episode

As previously reported, Bones will flashback to the first-ever meeting between Booth and Brennan when the series airs its 100th episode.

Now, creator Hart Hanson is revealing more about the highly-anticipated installment.

It kicks off with the investigative duo correcting a passage in Sweets' book, as they feel a need to explain to him how they actually met.

Cut back to six years earlier. Booth is haunted by an unsolved case and tracks down Brennan for assistance. However, “they didn’t like each other very much,” Hanson tells TV Guide Magazine about the pair's initial interactions.

“I’m excited to find out what made Booth and Brennan hate each other," said star Emily Deschanel. "It had to be something big.”

Also expected on the episode: Eric Milligan as Zack Addy; and Tamara Taylor as Camille in her pre-Jeffersonian Institute gig as a New York coroner.

The show returns with new installments on January 14. Catch up on your favorite Bones quotes in the meantime!

Bones Episode Stills from "The X in the File"

When Bones returns with a new episode on January 14, it will pay tribute a show largely responsible for the current trend of investigative dramas and serialized mysteries.

The installment's title might give it away: "The X in the File."

In case that clue somehow isn't enough, Dean Haglund guest stars as a diner owner on the episode. The actor (pictured below) is best known for his recurring role as Richard Langly on - you guessed it - The X Files.

During the hour, Booth and Brennan investigate possible alien remains around Roswell, New Mexico, a city where many people believe a UFO actually crashed in 1947.

First Look: Zooey Deschanel on Bones

Christmas will come early for Bones fans this year.

On December 10, Booth and Brennan investigate the case of a man in a Santa Claus costume that was blown up trying to rob a bank.

But that's not the exciting news: Brennan's father (Ryan O'Neil) asks Brennan's cousin, Margaret, to spend the holiday with him and his daughter. Margaret is played by none other than Zooey Deschanel!

It's a guest-starring role Bones fans have been hoping for since real-life sister Emily Deschanel was cast in the lead role of Bones. Below, get an early look at Zooey on the series:

Confirmed: Bones to Flash Way Back

Bones is off the air, set to return on November 5, barring a seventh game of the World Series.

But the show's producer at least has cool news to keep fans excited for later this season: on its 100th episode, as previously hinted at it, the series will flash back to the first-ever meeting between Booth and Brennan.

“We’ll be there for the first time those two personalities clashed,” executive producer Stephen Nathan told Entertainment Weekly. “Events will conspire to make them come out of the case hating each other and vowing that they will never work together again.”

Amish Country

What else will be included during this episode?

“We’ll also see the introduction of Angela and the genesis of her friendship with Brennan,” Nathan said. “And we’ll try and work in a Smurf reference, of course. They certainly have been absent from season 5 so far.”

Sounds awesome. Let's hope the Yankees sweep the Phillies and Bones returns as soon as possible!

Back to the 1930s for Bones

Bones won't air a new episode until November 5.

But fans of the Fox hit now have something interesting to contemplate during that time, as producer Stephen Nathan told TV Guide Magazine that the show might head back to the 1930s for an upcoming installment.

“A lot of shows have done those 40’s film noir episodes,” Nathan said. “But what we’re thinking of doing is going back a few more years to a 1930’s era homage to Depression-Era comedies like (1936's) My Man Godfrey or (1934's) The Thin Man, where they’re living the high life in the midst of the Depression - drinking and having a good time while solving murders.”

The episode would be filmed entirely in black and white, but that isn't the strangest part of the idea: would Temperance Brennan drink and have a good time?

That we'd love to see!

Bones Spoiler: A "Kennedy-Like" Storyline to Come

Unafraid to tackle controversial topics, Bones will soon crossover into Presidential assassination territory.

TV Guide Magazine reports the series hired JFK conspiracy expert Bob Harris to write an episode about the exhumation of a president’s corpse.

According to executive producer Stephen Nathan, the plot is based on “the government sweeping in and asking for a favor, but then the bones disappear.”

Museum Murder

Might Bones incur the wrath of the Kennedy family?

“We’re seeing how much we can get away with,” Nathan said. “For now, we’re not using his actual name, so it’s Kennedy-like.”

The episode will air in January. Tonight, meanwhile, Booth and Brennan investigate strange happenings at a museum.

Come back to TV Fanatic soon after the installment airs in order to check out the latest Bones quotes and music from it.
