Balthazar Getty Angling For Brothers & Sisters Return

Tommy Walker was a key character on Brothers & Sisters until the end of last season, when he went off the deep end professionally and would up in seclusion in Mexico.

This somewhat strange plot development coincided with actor Balthazar Getty falling out of favor, supposedly, with the show's cast and crew, amid personal drama.

Getty was never taken off the show's credits, however, and we just saw Tommy make a surprise appearance two episodes ago, only to bolt for Seattle at the end.

What is up with this guy?

According to TV Guide, the once-embattled star is looking to have his full-time, series-regular status restored next season and is in talks with ABC to make it so.

“That’s what we’re talking about,” Getty said from the set, where - spoiler alert - he's making another cameo for Justin and Rebecca’s December 6 wedding episode.

“I’ve made some suggestions, and they’re working out what’s best for the show. At the end of the year, everybody will sit down. I’ve made a commitment to this show."

If there was once bad blood between Balthazar and the cast, it seems to have passed.

“It’s great having Balty back,” co-star Calista Flockhart, who shined on last night's episode, "The Wig Party," said. “I love him, and it makes me happy when he’s here.”

Executive producer Alison Schapker claims that the series, now in Season Four, always planned to have Tommy “leave the family, as siblings do, but to one day return.”

Prospects appear less bright for Tommy’s estranged wife, Julia (Sarah Jane Morris). Instead, new show runner David Marshall Grant is planning a new love interest for him.

In typical incestuous style, rumor has it that will be Holly’s kid sister. Awkward!

Jon Tenney Nabs Recurring Role on Brothers & Sisters

Perhaps inspired by Sarah's burgeoning relationship with Luc (Giiles Marini), Norah will soon find a new squeeze on Brothers & Sisters.

TV Guide Magazine reports that Jon Tenney, who stars as Fritz Howard on The Closer, will portray a new boy toy named Simon for Sally Field's character.

Tenney will appear on four episodes of the ABC drama, debuting November 8.

"Nora meets Simon, who is an oncologist at the hospital where Kitty is getting treated, and they start an affair,” says executive producer David Marshall Grant.

Amy Aquino and Peter Gerety: Cast on Brothers & Sisters

The cast of Brothers & Sisters continues to expand.

Over the last week, actors Joe Morton and Denzel Whitaker have landed recurring roles on the ABC drama.

Now, Entertainment Weekly reports that we can add two more names to that list:

  • Amy Aquino, who starred on ER as Dr. Coburn, will play another doctor. This time, her characters treats a member of the Walker family.
  • Peter Gerety (Homicide, The Wire)  will appear as a “surprising outsider,” according to sources.

Joe Morton Lands Recurring Role on Brothers & Sisters

Joe Morton has landed a recurring role on the new season of Brothers & Sisters.

When the fourth season of the ABC drama kicks off next month, Justin Walker (Dave Annable) is in medical school; Morton will portray his anatomy professor.

The actor, who has guest-starred on a number of shows - including Boston Legal and House - will appear in at least seven episodes.

Gilles Marini to Appear on Brothers & Sisters

From an ABC reality show to a popular ABC drama.

Gilles Marini, a finalist on Dancing with the Stars, told OK! Weekly that he's actually be cast next season on Brothers & Sisters.

“I’m going to work on ABC on Brothers & Sisters,” the French actor, who rose to fame in Sex and the City: The Movie, told the tabloid, adding the following about his "secret" rold:

"It’s going to be very interesting. It’s going to be a like, ‘Oh, my God.’ It’s going to be great."

Sarah: I know where this is going. I've been down this road before -- feeling like I'm the only one taking responsibility.
Luc: Can't we just be happy?
Sarah: It just sounds so naive.
Luc: To me, that sounds cynical.
