More on Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk on Chuck

We still don't know when Chuck will come back to NBC.

But we do know a bit more about the roles Brandon Routh and Kristin Kreuk will play on the show, once it actually does make its triumphant return.

According to E! News, the main episode to keep one's eyes on will be number seven. In it, Chuck and Hannah (Kreuk) do more than just make out: they get busy in Buy More's Home Theater Room!

Meanwhile, Shaw (Routh) and Sarah get stuck in a dangerous situation and express intense feelings for one another.

But there's good news for Chuck and Sarah fans: Hannah is not what she seems. She won't be with Chuck for very long.

Coming Up on Chuck: Awesome to the Rescue!

Cue the superhero music...

Even though fans may need to wait until the spring for the new season of Chuck to premiere, it's never too early to get excited for it. Can you give us a hand with that, Ryan McPartlin?

The actor previewed his character's upcoming arc with E! News this week, saying that Devon "Awesome" Woodcomb would be moving up in the spy universe on future episodes.

"I don't know if I'll be made a spy, but I'm getting involved in the spy world. Chuck's going to [be] in a pinch and call on me to help him out," he said.

McPartlin added that the third season will somewhat resemble the first.

"it's amazing because it's like the first season, when Chuck got to carry the weight of the secret. I get to bring that [spirit of the] first season back again, through Awesome's eyes. And I'm just gonna lean on [Sarah and Chuck] for advice on how to do that."

Chuck Set Visit Reveals Season Three Premiere Spoilers

Chuck, sadly, will not premiere its third season until March.

While there are rumblings that NBC will eventually move up the debut date for this popular series, nothing has been confirmed at this time.

But even if fans must wait longer than usual to see Chuck in action, Maureen Ryan of The Chicago Tribune makes it sound as though it'll be worth it.

The TV critic went on set this week and filed a story that previewed the season three premiere. She reports...

  • The episode is titled "Chuck vs. the Pink Slip."
  • Zachary Levi will be fully bearded for at least part of it.
  • Tony Hale will reprise his role as Emmett Milbarge.
  • Morgan and Chuck are roommates as the third season kicks off.

Josh Schwartz: Expect Chuck and Sarah Dance to Continue

During last week's Chuck panel at Comic-Con, fans had one question in mind:

Will Chuck and Sarah ever get together?!?

"You know what they say?" said cocreator and executive producer Josh Schwartz. "Two steps forward, three steps back. The dance shall continue."

At least Schwartz shed some light on how that dance might be performed on season three. He told E! News:

"We do have two major new arcs on the show. One is a potential love interest for Chuck, and the other is a potential love interest for Sarah."

Chuck and Sarah

Sounds both intriguing and frustrating. Why can't these two just hook up for good? Partly because Sarah isn't happy about certain developments, star Yvonne Strahovski said.

"There are going to be a lot more complications between Chuck and Sarah, now that he's downloaded his new intersect into his brain. I think that Sarah is going to be a little upset."

During the annual festival in San Diego, Schwartz added that Chuck and Sarah will go through "something very emotional and traumatic," but "it's going to be very, very good."

Cocreator Chris Pedak chimed in with: "It'll be cool. It'll be deep, and it'll have a lasting affect on the show."

Okay. Fine. Consider us in for season three.

Zachary Levi Discusses Season Three

Chuck barely got its season three renewal, but squeezed by thanks to a corporate sponsorship with Subway.

The show's star, Zachary Levi, recently stopped by Ausiello's office and discussed seaosn three and their new sponsorship and how it will affect the show.

Additionally, Levi discusses Chuck's new kung fu skills and the possibility of a full season order.  Watch the interview below.

Josh Schwartz Dishes Chuck Season Three Spoilers

Yesterday we posted Ausiello's interview with Josh Schwartz, where he asked what we can expect out of season three when Chuck returns midseason.

Now Ausiello has posted the second half of the interview, which features some good Chuck season three spoilers.  Here's the second half:

MICHAEL AUSIELLO: Will Chuck and Sarah start the season off as a full-fledged couple?
SCHWARTZ: Chuck having the Intersect in his head will severely complicate their ability to be a couple ... [And] look for a potential new love interest on the show.

Really? For who?
Someone who could triangulate between a couple of characters.

Male or female?
Gosh, isn't it more fun to tease?

Chuck Recap: "Chuck Versus the Ring"

On last night's season two finale of Chuck, our favorite nerdy spy was finally relieved of his duty.  Sarah, meanwhile, was given a new mission to team up with her ex, Bryce, and Casey was given his dream job.

Chuck and Steve Give Ellie Away

But what brought the crew together for one last adventure?  Ellie's wedding, of course!  Find out what happened when Roark crashed it in our "Chuck Versus the Ring" recap.

Now for some of our favorite Chuck quotes from the episode:

Chuck: See, guys can hug
Casey: Not if they don't have their man parts | permalink
Casey [to Chuck]: Here's my personal number, but your fingers better be on fire
| permalink
Chuck: Oh God, someone shoot me now
Roark: I can help you with that Chuck. Oh, a little shotgun wedding. Just think, that terrible pun is the last thing you'll hear | permalink

Chuck Spoilers: Two Weddings?

With Chuck and Sarah on the run together without the watchful eye of the CIA, anything can happen on next week's Chuck.  As we already saw the preview, it looks like things are going to get hot and heavy between the two.

In fact, according to Ausiello's latest spoiler column, the only thing holding back the two from having sex next week is a condom.  Oh come on Chuck, every nerd learned in high school to carry one in his wallet (despite the fact that ruins them).

Ausiello also reminds us that there will be two weddings during the season finale.  Series creator Josh Schwartz teases, "Chuck throws it for someone he cares about."

Recap of Chuck Season Two Spoilers

If we haven't beaten it into your heads enough yet, the second half of season two of Chuck is going to be game-changing.  With the legitimate fear of not getting picked up for season three, Chuck's co-creator, Josh Schwartz, has been teasing a lot about what's to come in the last half of this season.

Miachael Ausiello has compiled a recap list of what's to come for Chuck.  Some of these are old, while some are new on our site:

  • Multiple weddings
  • A shocking death
  • Morgan departs the Buy More
  • Chuck and his father are reunited
  • Chuck and Sarah are going further than they ever have before
  • Chevy Chase
  • The return of Jeffster
  • The return of Bryce
  • The return of the Awesomes
  • A game-changing twist that will (hopefully) launch the show into season 3.

Yeah, we can barely handle the wait, either.

Josh Schwartz on Chuck Season Two Finale

While Chuck has still not been picked up for a third season, Josh Schwartz has recently informed reporters that the season two finale will at least change the show in a way that will satisfy viewers whether the show is picked up for a third season or not.

While Schwartz has previously strayed using the words "game changing" when describing the second have of season two of Chuck, Schwartz recently used those exact words at a group interview at WonderCon.

According to Sci Fi Wire, Schwartz told reporters that "It will end in a way that's going to launch the show into season three with a real—it's a game-changer. I think that it'll be immensely satisfying in its own right, but it also really, really launches the show in a way that, you know, we're already breaking season three stories and can't wait to start telling them."

Josh Schwartz

After talking more about a potential season three, Schwartz went back to say about the season two finale, "This is our finale. This would be our finale whether we knew we were picked up, whether ... we were picked up for next year or five years. This is what we've been wanting to do for a while, and we've had this planned since the beginning of season one."

Plus if it makes you feel better, executive producer Chris Fedak will be pitching season three stories to NBC this week.
