What Does Dexter Want from Trinity?

On Dexter, everyone's favorite serial killer has developed an unusual relationship with Arthur Mitchell; aka "The Trinity Killer."

Dexter very much wants to avenge his sister's shooting and place Trinity on his carving table. But he also wants to learn from Trinity.

After all, this is a man that's lived as both a family man and a mass murderer for three decades. Therefore, fans are asking: Is Dexter more interested in Trinity as a mentor or a nemesis?

An Odd Relationship

"Both, as is often the case with Dexter," Michael C. Hall said when asked this question by E! News. "I think the only answer I can give you is both. What's really fun about it is Dexter as an equal amount of reverence and disdain for the character and those things are commingled in the relationship."

We can't wait to see how it all unfolds. For a sneak peek at what's ahead, browse around our section of Dexter spoilers.

Keith Carradine Says Goodbye to Frank Lundy

Keith Carradine returned this season on Dexter, bringing special agent Frank Lundy back into the life of Dexter, Deb and Miami's newest serial killer.

But the character didn't stick around too long, as he appeared to be bite the literal bullet last night when he and Deb were gunned down in a parking lot.

It looks like Dexter's sister will make it, but the odds aren't good for Carradine's Lundy.

“It didn’t come as a complete shock," the actor told TV Guide Magazine when asked about his character's fate. "The scenario was laid out pretty clear to me when they asked me to come back.”

Did Trinity take out Lundy? Or is there any chance Anton's jealousy led to a heinous act?

Don't feel badly for Carradine, however.

He'll guest star on both Dollhouse and Damages in the near future.

David Ramsey Dishes on Dexter Character, Season Storylines

David Ramsey came aboard Dexter last season as Anton; first, as Quinn's criminal informant; then - and now - as Deb's serious boyfriend.

As viewers saw during last week's season four premiere, Anton and Deb are currently going strong. But how long will that last with super agent Frank Lundy back in town?

Ramsey dishes on this storyline and more in a recent interview with E! News:

On the future between Deb and Anton: Things get hotter. She moves in, but there's some strain on the relationship. There are some things from the past, her past, that come back.

On Deb's issues: It is Lundy and the self-deprecating psyche of [her entire] family that causes the huge strain. The Morgans have some serious issues. Between that and the former lover, it causes some major drama between Anton and Debra. The major strain is Debra's doing.

On possible marriage between the characters: There's room for absolute marriage between Anton and Debra. She loves him enough to move in that direction. Does it happen in this season? No. Can it happen? Yes. They are strong enough to survive that. I think it's going to be her choice. Anton is absolutely there, but it's going to be her recognizing she's worthy of that kind of love.

Wow. Sounds like Ramsey knows a lot about what's to come. Would you wanna see Deb settle down with Anton?

The Trinity Killer Has "Fantastic Surprises" in Store on Dexter

On last night's season four premiere of Dexter, viewers were introduced to John Lithgow's creepy, naked Arthur Mitchell.

Of course, we - and Frank Lundy - know him better as the Trinity Killer. Murdering victims in sets of three, this serial killer has been on the loose for 30 years. When Dexter realized this, an expression of shock and awe crossed his face.

What does Mitchell have in store this season? Lithgow recently said his character acts "in order to surprise people, and boy will I. My character has some fantastic surprises up his sleeve.”

Will he stick around beyond season four? Or will this be a one-season gig for Lithgow, as it was for Jimmy Smits last year?

“I would love to work on Dexter forever, but I am a serial killer and you know they keep to themselves and they don’t last long," the actor said.
