Josh Groban Confirms Return to Glee

Great news, Sandy: you'll get at least one more chance to make a good impression on Josh Groban.

The singer has confirmed a return to Glee last this season.

“I think I’m going to come back and do one more episode,” Groban told Access Hollywood this week. “We’ll see what happens... I had a great time with that cast, coming from a theater background... being a member of the choir club as a kid, just to see that group of people being represented in mainstream culture is really, really so great.”

Glee Guest Star

In September, Groban appeared on the Fox smash, playing a jerky version of himself. He didn't treat former glee director Sandy - the singer's number-one, stalker-like fan - very well on the episode "Acafellas."

No word yet on what might bring him back into the fold.

Meanwhile, we can also confirm that Kristin Chenoweth is close to signing on to reprise her role as April Rhodes on the series. The news just keeps getting better, doesn't it, Glee fans?!?

Jonathan Groff to Reunite with Lea Michele on Glee

What a week for Glee news!

First, it was announced that the show has been picked up for a full season by Fox.

Next, it was revealed that Joss Whedon will direct a future episode.

Now, we can confirm that Lea Michele is about to be reunited with her Spring Awakening co-star. Entertainment Weekly reports that Jonathan Groff will take on a recurring, upcoming role.

Appearing on at least five episodes, the Broadway star will play the lead male singer of Vocal Adrenaline, the quasi rival of New Directions. Says Glee creator Ryan Murphy:

“He is a male diva... a miva" and he'll serve as potential love interest for Michele’s Rachel.

This is Jonathan Groff. That's Lea Michele. And this scene from Spring Awakening is hot.

Groff was recently seen in the movie Taking Woodstock and has also appeared on One Life to Live.

Jane Lynch: An Official Glee Cast Member

As Sue Sylvester, Jane Lynch was the funniest character on the series premiere of Glee.

But it wasn't certain that she'd return to the series full-time this fall, due to her role on the Starz sitcom Party Down.

Until now.

The actress told Variety today that she's left Party Down in favor of a regular role on Glee.

"It looks like I can't do the second season," Lynch said. "So I'm not happy about that all ... but I'm in Glee, so I'm thrilled about that."

So are we.

Michael Hitchcock to Guest Star on Glee

Calm down, Glee.

You had us hooked after your first wonderful, unique episode.

There's really no need to continually line up cool guest stars for next season, not that we're objecting to upcoming appearances by Josh Groban, Kristin Chenoweth, Victor Garber and Debra Monk, among others.

Now, Michael Ausiello reports that MADtv's Michael Hitchcock will show up in the fall. He'll appear in the same episode as Eve, playing the part of the director of a different rival choir.

Hitchcock was hilarious in the movie Best in Show, as he often stars in Christopher Guest-directed movies.

Glee is on a role with its musical guest stars.  First, they recruit Broadway sensation Kristin Chenoweth and then rock star Josh Groban.

Now, in a role originally created for Whitney Houston, rap superstar Eve will guest star as a no-nonsense choir instructor from a rival school for two episodes.

So what do you think, is the already amazing Glee stunt casting at this point?

Glee Casting News: Sarah Drew as Suzy Pepper

Earlier this week, Lea Michele raved about various guest stars set to join Glee in the fall.

With that in mind, Sarah Drew should be flattered.

The young actress - who has appeared on Mad Men and Castle, among other hit show - has landed the role of Suzy Pepper, an unstable senior that develops an obsessively creepy crush on her teacher.

Drew is booked for one episode, but there’s potential for this to be a recurring role.

Lea Michele Teases Glee Guest Stars

Lea Michele was psyched about starring on Glee from the moment she read the script.

But now that the show has lined up a slew of talented guest stars, the actress can't stop gushing about next season.

“We already had Josh Groban, Kristin Chenoweth, Victor Garber and Debra Monk come in,” Michele said to TV Guide Magazine, adding that Wicked alum Chenoweth will appear as a high school dropout “who’s a fantastic singer who comes in to join the Glee Club.”

While the young star - who plays Rachel Berry on the series - won't reveal details on Garber and Monk’s character, she says fans are in for an exciting fall.

“We’ve had a bunch of guest stars and they made the show so fantastic. In my opinion, the show is like a ten and then you have these people come in and they make it like 100!”

Kristin Chenoweth and Victor Garber Cast on Glee

Kristin Chenoweth and Victor Garber will pop up for recurring roles on the upcoming Fox musical comedy (yes, it's a musical comedy).

Kristin Chenoweth and Victor Garber
