With Hilary Duff's Olivia Burke out of the picture on Gossip Girl and no plans for the show to bring her back this season, does this clear the way for Dan and Vanessa?

Duff's all-but-certain departure was confirmed this week after the threesome-gone-awry. But it was Dan's surprise feelings for V that prompted the big O to pack it in.

Is Danessa the next big Gossip Girl couple, though? According to reports, the following couples will be getting together (or staying together) by the end of the season:

Dan and Serena are totally getting together ... with other people!

• Dan and Vanessa, as "They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They?" and "The Last Days of Disco Stick" foreshadowed, are definitely on. They will be getting together this season.
• Same with Nate and Serena, who will become a bona fide couple.
• Rufus and Lily will have a big problem (Serena's dad), though.
• Through it all, Chuck and Blair will be going strong.

"The Last Days of Disco Stick," if you haven't heard or pieced it together, is the all-new episode of Gossip Girl airing Monday and featuring a performance by Lady Gaga.

Here's a different kind of sneak preview than we're used to seeing. The CW and The Plastiscines have released a music video promoting next Monday's episode of Gossip Girl.

The group performs its catchy song "Bitch" (certainly appropriate for the chosen program) with clips of "They Shoot Humphreys, Don't They?" mixed with shots of the band.

There's a surprising amount of new footage we haven't seen in the previews (particularly Eric talking about taking Jenny down). Check it the three-minute video below ...

Pretty cool, right? Definitely a unique marketing strategy. It will be interesting to see if Eric and Jenny patch things up by the end or if this unexpected rivalry escalates.

Yep, a real one. Same time. Same bed. Together. No exaggeration. The only question is who's involved? According to inside sources, it's one of the following combinations:

• Chuck-Blair-Nate
• Serena-Carter-Georgina
• Serena-Dan-Blair
• Chuck-Blair-Dorota
• Nate-Bree-Carter
• Vanessa-Dan-Olivia
• Chuck-Blair-Josh (gay NYU alum)
• Georgina-Dan-Olivia (Hilary Duff)
• Rufus-Lily-Keith (Serena's father)

You'd have to think anything this kinky has to involve the master of that realm, the great Chuck Bass, who we already know has a same-sex kiss coming up this season.

But is that too obvious? Could Nate Archibald be in the mix?
