Grey's Anatomy Sneak Preview: "Valentine's Day Massacre"

In the first sneak peek at this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy, "Valentine's Day Massacre," Bailey gets asked out on a date by her hunky anesthesiologist colleague!

Bailey responds by being Bailey, of course, and awkwardly saying she has surgeries ... or more specifically, that she is "always" in surgery. Not too far from the truth.

The resident lesbians overhead this, however, and aren't going to let Bailey weasel out of this opportunity. Check out Arizona and Callie giving Miranda a good-natured razzing:

Grey's Anatomy Episode Stills: "Valentine's Day Massacre"

Below are episode stills from this week's all-new Grey's Anatomy, "Valentine's Day Massacre." It looks like it's going to be a really intense week on the personal and medical fronts!

The doctors treat dozens of people when the roof of a romantic restaurant collapses on Valentine's Day. In other news, Meredith struggles with her new  duties as the chief's "wife."

Lexie also goes blonde, Owen counsels Derek and former guest star Sarah Drew is back, having been rehired by the show and the (handsome, even sans necktie) interim Chief.

Who Hasn't Alex Hooked Up with on Grey's Anatomy?

We certainly don't have to tell you that Dr. Alex Karev has had his share of romantic dalliances with Seattle Grace staff members in five-plus seasons of Grey's Anatomy.

But do we know about them all?

EW says the upcoming February 18 episode, "Time Warp," will answer this burning question: Which of Seattle Grace’s other female docs has Alex hooked up with in the past?

Any theories? Do you interpret this as we do, that he's gotten with someone and it hasn't been shown on screen? If that's the case, could it be Meredith? Callie? Who?

Chime in below with comments!

Jesse Williams Previews Grey's Anatomy Romance, Family Drama

New Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams (Dr. Jackson Avery) has made quite an impression on fans this season already, and we have only begun to explore his character.

With his good looks and charm, it was really just a matter of time before the Mercy West transplant got some lovin’ on Grey's Anatomy. The only question is, who with?

Grey’s is getting a little crazy,” he told TV Guide Sunday. “I think there’s going to be a lot of changes for my character. Jackson Avery has a lot of big things happening.”

And yes, that means romance.

“There’s a lot of relationship changes. Within the group,” he teases. Asked if sparks fly between he and a fellow Mercy Wester or Seattle Grace original, he played it coy.

“Well, because it might be one of both,” says Williams. “Jackson ... he’s a man.”

Dr. Avery Pic

Indeed. What he does give up is that a relationship with Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang, which was hinted at in a previous episode when he made a move, is not in the cards:

“I think Cristina is giving him a lot of flack, so you can only bang your head against a wall for so long ... I think he’ll wise up and try to get some attention elsewhere.”

We'll also get a glimpse of Jackson's background. On one of the upcoming Grey's Anatomy episodes this spring, the show will introduce Jackson’s ailing grandpa, Harper Avery.

Chelcie Ross, a.k.a. the guy who taunted Mad Men’s Don Draper as Connie Hilton, will play Harper, the namesake of the Avery Award bestowed on Meredith’s mom, Ellis.

This will help form a bond between Jackson and Meredith Grey - but does it play into some fans' theory that young Dr. Avery is a secret love child of Ellis and the Chief?

“It’s not relevant,” says executive producer Betsy Beers, and “not on anyone’s brain.”

Still, we look forward to seeing these events play out in the coming weeks.

Six Grey's Anatomy Sneak Previews: "State of Love and Trust"

ABC has released six sneak preview clips of this week's all-new episode of Grey's Anatomy, "State of Love and Trust." As you might expect, there's a lot to cover in six previews.

In the first clip below, Derek nervously addresses staff members of Seattle Grace, having controversially ousted Richard and assumed the position of Interim Chief of Surgery.

How do you think he'll do? The doctors have their own ideas ...

State of Love and Trust Sneak Preview #1

Follow the jump for five more clips from this Thursday's episode. Cristina wonders why she's been removed from Teddy's services, and Derek and Richard have it out again.

Elsewhere, Callie (amusingly) ends up smack in the middle of Mark and Lexie's unfolding relationship drama, and perhaps tells both sides more than they wanted to hear ...

Grey's Anatomy Promo: "State of Love and Trust"

ABC aired the first promo for next week's episode of Grey's Anatomy, "State of Love and Trust," last night. Derek is taking over for Richard as Chief of Surgery for now.

And it's an episode ... that we will never forget.

Over-dramatic promo voiceover aside, it does look like an exciting episode with a lot going on in the land of Seattle Grace-Mercy West. Is McDreamy up to his new job?

Our photo gallery from the episode provided some insight into what we can expect, and we hope to have some longer sneak preview clips up for you in the next few days.

For now, check out the promo and see what you think ...

Grey's Anatomy is off this week, unfortunately, but this ought to help you pass the time until next week's all-new episode, the first of at least three new ones in succession.

Here are photos from next week's Grey's Anatomy, "State of Love and Trust," when Derek begins his role as interim chief and quickly has a potential lawsuit on his hands.

Elsewhere at Seattle Grace, Teddy refuses to place Cristina on her service, Arizona tests Alex out in pediatrics, and Mark still refuses to speak to a heartbroken Lexie.

Bailey Romance to Heat Up on Grey's Anatomy

From the early days of Team MerDer vs. Team Addek, to the more recent bed-swapping of Mark, Lexie and Alex, certain Grey's Anatomy debates provoke varied fan reactions.

Miranda Bailey's love life is not one of those issues. After all she's been through with her divorce, what Grey's Anatomy fan isn't excited for a Bailey romance heating up soon?

According to TV Guide, Chandra Wilson will be back behind the camera again after making her directorial debut this season in the fantastic episode, "Give Peace a Chance."

Soon enough, Wilson will direct an episode in which the new anesthesiologist (Jason George) films some steamy scenes with her. Expect "lots of romance and kissing scenes."

Wilson is not listed as the director of the next two episodes, so we're not entirely sure when this happens, but we assure you we'll be watching (excitedly!) when it does!

Bailey, New Love Interest

We can't wait to watch this budding romance develop.

Grey's Anatomy First Look: Lexie Goes Blonde!

Boy did Grey’s Anatomy’s Mark and Lexie hit the skids fast.

One episode, they look like nothing can break them up. The next? They're in bed (or on the floor) with other people. Other attractive doctors we know well, no less.

Mark's reaction to Lexie admitting she slept with Alex was that he can't even look at her anymore. He may never look at Little Grey quite the same, it looks like.

That's because she's going blonde! Check out the pic below:

Blonde Lexie!

This photo is disgusting overall. But Lexie's hair looks cute!

Yup, that's Chyler Leigh as Lexie in "Valentine's Day Massacre," the ominously-title February 11 episode of Grey's Anatomy. The show is off this week but back February 4.

Do you like Lexie's new 'do? More significantly, do you think she and Mark will get back together? Or would they be better off preferring other romantic interests at work?

Grey's Anatomy First Look: Pre-Nazi Bailey!

Before Chandra Wilson's Grey's Anatomy character Miranda Bailey was the enforcer - the Nazi, if you will - she was just a regular intern-turned-resident at Seattle Grace.

Flashbacks will take us there.

The casting of young Richard and Ellis has gotten the most attention regarding the February 18 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, "Time Warp." Bailey will have flashbacks too.

The hour will also flash back to the early 2000s when Callie was just starting out, and when Bailey was an intern being menaced by a boss from hell (Heroes' Missi Pyle).

Awesome. Even more so? Miranda used to go by Mandy!

“We’re going to see Bailey when she still called herself Mandy and had not yet learned to speak up,” explains series creator Shonda Rhimes, reflecting on how the first time she laid eyes on Chandra Wilson “all Mandy’d up,” her heart broke.

“I know that girl — hell, I was that girl. Deep down, Mandy is Bailey’s inner geek, and Chandra plays the Mandy of it all brilliantly.” No doubt she's right. Here's a pic:
