Jennifer Morrison on House Exit: Confused, Grateful, Clueless

Unfortunately, a series of House spoilers ruined this week's departure of Jennifer Morrison. Viewers knew it was coming throughout the episode.

But it was still emotional for many long-time fan when the actress walked out the door. Will we ever see Cameron again? Morrison has no idea.

“I think everyone thinks that there’s some sort of answer out there and I have as little information as everyone else," she told TV Guide Magazine. "All I know is that they’re always only a couple of episodes ahead and they haven’t made any grand sweeping decisions."

Meanwhile, Morrison told Entertainment Weekly: “I find the entire situation sort of confusing."

Overall, the actress is handling her dismissal with professionalism. She said:

“[House creator] David Shore has always been very true to writing the characters authentically and taking them on a journey he believes is very true for them. And right now she’s just not at the hospital, so no one really knows what that means until they get to that place in the writing to know what that means.

"I’m just as without information as everyone else. It’s one of those things where I’ve spent six years there and it’s been amazing and I love that character and I love our writers. And whatever’s meant to be will work itself out.”

In honor of the actress and her time on the showm check out the following Cameron photo montage:

Olivia Wilde: Returning to House!

Beauty aside, Thirteen isn't the most popular character on House.

But Olivia Wilde brings this doctor back to the Fox hit tonight, as the actress spoke to TV Guide about the circumstances surrounding her return, as well as her future with Foreman...

On the return of Taub and Thirteen: What you have to remember is House wasn't the one who fired Taub and Thirteen. Taub quit and Thirteen was fired by her own boyfriend. So, it's up to him to find a way to bring them back, but it's not going to be as easy as he thought. This next episode reveals just what it is for the doctors that is so addictive to being on the team.

Recruitment Pitch

On the future of Foreteen: I think it's going to be bumpy for a little while. It would be dishonest for us to come back from breaking up with each other and having a smooth ride. They're both very good at bottling things up, so it's not the most communicative relationship. Things often come out in bursts, and I think we see that because they work in a high stress environment. You learn more about their relationship through their diagnostic process than through their actual straight talk.

As always, we'll recap and review this episode soon after it ends, replete with House quotes and photos from the hour.

Jesse Spencer Interview: On Future of House's Team and More

While Hugh Laurie (deservedly) receives all the acting accolades on House, Jesse Spencer has proven to be a valuable supporting cast member this season.

His character's storyline arc - which started with taking the life of President Diabla and continues over the next couple weeks when Cameron leaves Chase - has put Spencer squarely in the spotlight. He's handled it well.

Bad Marriage

Following a World Series-mandated hiatus, House returns with a new episode tonight - and Spencer spoke to TV Guide about what fans can expect from it and subsequent installment...

What's to come? The big stuff hasn't really happened yet. Where the story line is going, the s--t's about to hit the fan. It's the reason that Chase will stay in the hospital and the reason that Cameron will leave. Chase feels he has to stay and face the music — whatever that is... he feels like he has to stay and play that out in the hospital.

What leads to the break up? Chase defends the notion that he made this decision rationally and that it had nothing to do with House. She offers for her and Chase to leave and go somewhere. He accepts it and then realizes that he really can't go anywhere because it's just going to follow him everywhere he goes.  That leads them to go their separate ways.

The new team: We sort of have a new team again because now basically Chase joins [it]. It's a slightly new dynamic with him on the team. He asks to come back on the team because he feels like it's the only way he's going to be able to face his demons and what he's done. He comes back on the team so it will be Chase, Foreman, Thirteen and Taub.

Lisa Edelstein Mourns the Loss of Jennifer Morrison

Jennifer Morrison is not dead.

But her character of Allison Cameron will soon be exiting House. In an interview with E! News, co-star Lisa Edelstein shared her feelings on this shocking news:

"Jennifer is an incredibly gracious, professional, sweet, lovely woman and I hadn't the faintest idea until I said something really dumb on set because I didn't know. But I can't really tell you what I said, because it has to do with a storyline that hasn't come out yet. But essentially [it was] 'How come your character keeps leaving and coming back?' as a joke. I had no idea.

I was the last person to know. That's because she was just so incredibly professional and did her job and never let on to anyone what was going on. It was pretty impressive. She will be missed, I don't think she's going to have any trouble, so I'm not worried about her."

The seeds for Cameron's departure were sown last night, as Cameron, Chase and the team dealt with a controversial patient, played by James Earl Jones.

Why is Cameron Leaving House?

Jennifer Morrison is NOT leaving House for good.

That's the message producer Katie Jacobs conveyed to TV Guide Magazine, as she provided background to the startling news that the actress' character, Cameron, will be exiting the Fox drama in November.

“There is a story coming that has a major consequence for Cameron and a direct impact on her role on House’s team and on her marriage [to Dr. Chase, played by Jesse Spencer],” said Jacobs.

The producer, who also directed the season six premiere, said this plot begins after an African dictator, played by James Earl Jones, receives a controversial treatment at Princeton-Plainsboro in the October 5 episode.

“Cameron’s reaction [to the situation] is that she needs to separate from her husband and marriage and proximity from the hospital,” Jacobs said, only confirming that the character is taking a leave of absence. “If I wanted to make an announcement that Jennifer was leaving the show, I would say that. The fact is, we still don’t know how the season is going to end for Cameron or for Jennifer.”

In real life, Morrison actually dated Jesse Spencer (Chase) for awhile. They are now broken up, but Jacobs insists there is no behind the scenes drama of any kind.

"This is all driven by the storytelling, and the story tells us Cameron needs to take a break from the hospital.”

House Characters React to Return of Their Boss

At the conclusion of last night's incredible season premiere of House, our favorite cranky doctor left his mental facility home, supposedly for Princeton Plainsboro hospital.

When he returns to his former job, how will the presence of this new, and supposedly improved, House affect members of his team?

E! News asked that question to a trio of the show's stars, and each replied with a take on his/her character:

Jesse Spencer: "I'm back on the team. It's kinda old-school: Cameron and Chase, kickin' it old-school. The merging of the teams is a work in progress. People are back and forth, and in and out, but I think very soon it's going to be a complete conglomeration of old and new. It's going to be a new dynamic for the team, which I think is going to be really good."

Olivia Wilde: "House has changed, and that means our environment has changed. Everyone approaches House's recovery differently. They all have very different relationships to him this season, and it reveals a little bit more about similarities that some of us may have with House."

Peter Jacobson: "Taub is somewhat relieved to not be the subject of such abuse, as he has been. For Taub it is actually a little bit frustrating, because there are a lot of dynamic shifts and different politics on the team and in the hospital, because House isn't as he was. We don't always necessarily know who is in charge. I came to the hospital for very specific reasons, three years ago, and I'm not sure those reasons are sustained at the moment."

Lisa Edelstein Pushes for More Cuddy Sex

We're just hours away from the two-hour season premiere of House.

Fans of Lisa Edelstein should be prepared, however: the opening episode focuses on House's time in a mental asylum. Wilson is the only regular character featured during the movie-like introduction to season six.

Still, Edelstein and company will return next week. In an interview with TV Guide, she previewed the weeks ahead:

On where we kick off: The beginning of this season is really about House trying to find a sense of recovery from himself. He's most likely doomed to fail in that regard, but that's where we're at right now in terms of what's happening in the season.

Cuddy and House

On the team: The team is particularly insecure. Even though they all know they're smart, nobody feels quite as smart as House. So there's a lot of second-guessing going on on the team. When you have such an overbearing father, in a sense, it's really hard to know when you can think for yourself. Learning how to think on your own two feet is a challenge when somebody is making all the decisions for you. They're all kind of faced with that.

On Cuddy: This year, Cuddy is really trying to step out a little bit and get her own life and a love life and try not to be so down and up with House, which of course will probably make him go for her even more. I think there's a lot of exploration going on with that. She should get to sleep with somebody else too. All's fair in love and war.

According to the latest spoilers and rumors, Cuddy will, indeed, see action between the sheets with another character.
