With those words, Benjamin Koldyke introduced himself to How I Met Your Mother fans on this week's new episode.

Unfortunately for Barney and Robin fans, not only with this actor be sticking around the sitcom; creator Carter Bays says he'll be romancing Robin for awhile.

“I don’t want to oversell anything," Bays told Michael Ausiello. "Yes, it’s very soon after her and Barney [split up], but...we’ve had characters that Ted has dated many times, but we haven’t brought in somebody for Robin. We’re seeing where it goes. We’re taking it gingerly."

Koldyke is quickly becoming some what of a guest-starring slut. Aside from dating Robin on HIMYM, he'll play for the other team and get with Alby on season four of Big Love.

JoAnna Garcia is coming to How I Met Your Mother as an old friend, and potential conquest, for Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother later this season, reports say.

As first reported by TV Guide, the Privileged alum will play Ted's college buddy, Maggie, in "The Window."

Maggie is described as the perfect "girl next door" type, the one every guy wants to marry as soon as he meets her. Only no one has. Ted senses an opportunity.

When he learns that Maggie is not a relationship for once in her life, ecstatic Ted rushes to make a move before his narrow "window of opportunity" closes for good.

Will he succeed? That's doubtful, as Garcia is only signed on for a single episode. But some funny How I Met Your Mother quotes should come out of it at least.

Josh Radnor's Ted Mosby has always had a thing for old friend Maggie (Joanna Garcia).

Garcia, who has also appeared on Gossip Girl this season, joins Rachel Bilson, Tim Gunn, Chris Elliott and Kenny Rogers as How I Met Your Mother guest stars this season.

We're about to meet Lily's grandmother (fun!), as well as a potential love interest for Robin (danger, Barney!) on How I Met Your Mother.

First, as we've documented, the sitcom will take viewers into Lily's family's home for its November 23 Thanksgiving episode. Once there, Marion Ross will portray the character's grandmother.

She was most recently seen as Ida Holden on Brothers & Sisters.

Meanwhile, the show is about to give Barney some competition for Robin.

The sitcom is casting for Don, a new character that will serve as Robin's new co-anchor on her early morning news show. Expect sparks to fly between the co-workers, either of passion or of deep-seeded hatred.

Which, sorry Barney, often leads to passion.

** UPDATE: Christina Pickle has taken over instead of Ross, now that the character's role on the show has been greatly reduced.

The role of Lily's father on How I Met Your Mother has been cast.

Actor/comedian Chris Elliott has landed the pivotal role, as he'll appear on the November 23 episode of the sitcom, which focuses on an awkward family reunion hosted by Lily’s grandparents.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the half hour will feature childhood flashbacks that shed light on Lily’s troubled relationship with her dad.

Elliott's face should be familiar to TV and movie fans. He's probably best known for his roles in There's Something About Mary and Cabin Boy.

It will be difficult to top his guest-starring stint on Seinfeld - or at least the use of his name on that iconic sitcom - but singer Kenny Rodgers will guest star on an upcoming episode of How I Met Your Mother.

The crooner will appear on October 19.

During the installment titled "Dual Citizenship," Ted and Marshall take a road trip to Chicago, as they try to recreate a cherished college memory. However, the plan hits a major snag when Lily tags along.

Somehow, this leads to a performance by the famous singer.

In other recent, major How I Met Your Mother casting news: Tim Gunn and Rachel Bilson will show up on the show's 100th episode.

We know he dresses well, but can he act?

How I Met Your Mother will find out on the show's 100th episode, when Tim Gunn guest stars on the special half hour.

As first reported by Mo Ryan of The Chicago Tribune, the Project Runway host Gunn will help Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) resolve a serious sartorial crisis during the installment.

Of course, Gunn will be overshadowed during this episode. Rachel Bilson will also guest star, and rumors are swirling that she may actually be the famous mother in question!

Sorry, Seth Cohen. But your one true love may turn out to be the much-hyped mother to someone else's kids.

Rachel Bilson has been booked as a special guest star on the 100th episode of How I Met Your Mother.

Late last month, producer Craig Thomas said this legendary installment of the sitcom would represent "the closest Ted's ever come" to discovering the identity of his future wife.

Thomas also told Entertainment Weekly producers are “spending a lot of time trying to cast the female role in Ted’s story for episode 100."

Does this mean Bilson has hit the mother lode with her role? Or, like Sarah Chalke and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, is she merely another tease? Tune in. Find out.
