Lost Spoilers: Why Miles Blackmailed Ben

Do you remember when Miles blackmailed, - err, tried to extort - Ben for $3.2 million dollars during Lost's fourth season?

Okay, we know it was awhile ago, but Miles offered to pretend like Ben was dead in exchange for a cool $3.2 million.

Why the arbitrary amount And why would the blackmail at all?

According to TV Guide, we're gonna find out why, as a dollar amount other than the $3.2 million is brought up in tonight's Miles-centric episode, "Some Like it Hoth."

Got any guesses before the hour airs, readers?

Lost Spoilers: "The Variable"

After tomorrow night's new episode of Lost, "Some Like it Hoth," Lost will be going on another week long break (despite their promises not to!).  To help ease the pain of that news, we have some Lost spoilers about the April 29th episode.

The episode will be entitled "The Variable" and it will be the 100th episode of the series.  According to E! Online, the episode will see the return of Mrs. Hawking, Daniel Faraday, Penny, Charles Widmore, and Charlie Hume.

Faraday

As for the variable for the title, it will tie back to the equations Locke saw on the blast-door map in season two.  Things we learned from the door included "Geological composition likely to cause magnetic disturbances/interference with weather project," "Primary nexus of Cerberus-related activity" and the Valenzetti equation.

We've seen enough flashbacks of the various humans on the show.  It's time to give the Island's very own smoke monster a flashback.

Lost Spoilers: "Getting Lost 10"

In the tenth installment of Getting Lost with Matt Mitovich, Matt talks to Michael Emerson about the perception-changing events that occurred during "Dead is Dead."  Emerson even teases us on what to expect about future Ben moments.

Mitovich also talks to Marsha Thomason who will be reprising her role as Naomi in next week's episode, "Some Like it Hoth."  She confirms how Naomi will be back in a flashback with Miles.

Finally, Matt provides a very well thought out theory as to last week's burning question, "What happened to Rose and Bernard" that we're going to make you watch to hear:

Lost Spoilers: Miles' Backstory

Next week's episode of Lost, "Some Like it Hoth," is going to reveal Miles' backstory.  What exactly will that entail?

According to E! Online's Lost Redux, we're going to learn why Miles was really on the freighter.  That also means there's going to be a return of the bossy freighter babe, Naomi (Marsha Thomason).

Additionally, we're going to find out how and if Miles has been on the Island before.  Very interesting indeed.

Courtesy of the latest E! Online spoiler chat, we have some minor Lost spoilers for you:

  • Sawyer and Kate may not be together during season five, but you'll like what you see in season six.
  • Neither Jack nor Sayid are the major death occurring in season five
  • Lost's finale's final season is given the code name, "The Fork in the Outlet."  During the episode, which is entitled "The Incident," expect the Losties to be messing with the electromagnetic power of the Island, to return to the future or to unleash the smoke monster (which may be a collection of metal shavings).

Lost Interview with Sterling Beaumon

We gotta tell you, we are impressed with child actor Sterling Beaumon.  Not only did he do a terrific performance as a young Ben in last week's Lost, but after this interview you'll love him too.

Sterling not only answered all the questions with some juicy Lost spoilers and thought-provoking answers, he actually took the time to go through message boards and answer reader questions!  Here's a small excerpt:

TVGuide.com: I read in a previous interview that when you first appeared on Lost (during Season 3), you were warned not to mimic Michael Emerson, because Ben wasn't that Ben yet. Is it safe to say he now is?
Beaumon:
Not quite yet....

TVGuide.com: Something more would have to happen to put him on that path?
Beaumon:
Yes. And that Ben.... Well, if you go back in the season to when they first met up with [Amy], they tell Daniel, "We can't interfere, because we can't change time," and Daniel says, "It doesn't matter now, because we're stuck here." So now they can change time. So that big older mean Ben that we know very well may not even exist.

Sterling Beaumon as Young Ben

TVGuide.com: OK. I was going to say, Who better to carry out the massacre in a few years than a presumed-dead, angry Ben, but....
Beaumon:
Maybe the massacre is never going to happen now.

TVGuide.com: Before we go, you said you had a few things you wanted to clear up....
Beaumon:
Yes, I was just reading the message boards — I know, I'm so bad — and there are some things I want to address. For example, Ben arrived on the island in 1974, when he was 12 years old. Now it's three years later, so he's like 14 or 15. When Sayid refers to "12-year-old Ben" [in the episode "He's Our You"], he just didn't know. They will later say how old I really am. Also, some people are thinking that Ben killed his dad in the van fire that he set; he didn't. Older Ben killed his dad in, like, 1995. Those are just a few things I'm seeing out there.

You can read the rest of the interview at TV Guide.

Lost Spoilers: Mark Pellegrino Coming to Lost

After playing Rita's crazy, drug-addicted ex on Dexter, Mark Pellegrino will be joining the cast of Lost on the season five finale later this year in a pivotal role.  So just what can we expect from Pellegrino's character?

According to speculation by Ausiello Files, Pellegrino will be playing Jacob in an off-island, 1970s flashback involving some familiar faces.  One of those familiar faces is *a****.  Yeah, we love Ausiello's asterisks just as much as you.

Jacob: Jack is here because he has to do something. He can't be told what that is. He's got to find it himself. Sometimes, you can just hop in the back of someone's cab and tell them what they're supposed to do. Other times, you have to let him look out at the ocean for a while.
