Coming to Mad Men: Twins?

On this week's episode of Mad Men, Betty Draper said her baby was kicking. Correction: she said her female baby was kicking.

But will the Drapers really be welcoming a daughter in the near future?

Pregnant Betty

Sources tell TV Guide Magazine that the series has put out a casting call for twin boys to play the part of the newest Draper family members.

Good luck, Don. Between two existing kids, two new twins and a senile father-in-law, you may need to start drinking even earlier in the day than usual.

Mad Men Preview: Plans for Peggy and Pete

Don Draper may be the focus of Mad Men, but the most prominent secondary characters on this AMC hit would be Peggy Olson and Pete Campbell.

The former lovers have a child together, a fact Pete was finally informed of on the second season finale.

Will this baby ever be seen again? And what lies ahead for this duo? TV Guide spoke to Elisabeth Moss and Vincent Kartheiser to get some answers.

"I don't think [the child is] dead, and I don't think it will never come up again," Moss said. "But I think there's a lot going on and a lot to deal with, so in pure Mad Men style, we don't just leap back into things that the audience wants us to. Although things may not be as on the nose as you want them to be, her past has a huge effect on everything that she does, and you do see that in the third season."

As for the future of his character and Peggy, Kartheiser said:

"They've chosen their paths. After someone does something like that to you — they had your kid and gave it up — where do you go? I think that's something that [Mad Men creator Matt Weiner] is going to touch upon, and I think sometimes in these situations, what doesn't happen says so much more than what does."

Jon Hamm Delivers Dish on Mad Men Season Three

In the most widely-circulated promotional poster for season three of Mad Men, Jon Hamm - as Don Draper, of course - is surrounded by water.

The actor says this is symbolic of where his character is at when the new season begins Sunday night.

"Those waters are rising in every possible way," Hamm told Maureen Ryan. "There are some new situations... that [Draper] has to navigate in almost every aspect of his life."

Season 3 Promo

At the conclusion of last season, major changes came to Sterling Cooper, the NYC ad agency for whom Draper works. It was sold to  British company, and that development is still having an effect on Draper and his colleagues again when the drama returns.

"Even to the point of lying to his wife, he is a very solitary man in many ways. When the company gets sold, part of that is taken away... It presents a lot of challenges. And I think all of our guys are starting to feel that," Hamm said.

While few spoilers have leaked out, it's generally believed that the third season of Mad Men takes place in 1963.

Mad Men Season Three Promo Pics, Preview

What should fans expect on season three of Mad Men?

"I think what happens... is change. That's not just talking about the characters and the story and the arcs of all these people, it's about the culture as well," star Jon Hamm said at an AMC press event this week. "We are moving forward in time - it doesn't take place in a vacuum. The country was very much changing, and people were changing along with it."

Will Don Draper actually be loyal to wife Betty this fall?

"Well, people change and people stay the same. So I think I'll leave it with that," Hamm said.

Guess we'll need to tune in for the premiere on August 16.
