Pushing Daisies Spoilers (Page 4)

Pushing Daisies Heads to Bee Store, Circus

What's coming up on season two of Pushing Daisies?

Kristin of E! Online promises a pair of promising premises.

  • One episode will center around Burt's Bees-esque company; Chuck goes there to work after the founder names her essay "Why I Love Bees" the winner of a contest.
  • The season premiere is all about a circus.

Sounds awesome to us!

The Sound of Kristin Chenoweth Music

Great news for Pushing Daisies fans, Kristin Chenoweth or fans of music overall:

According to Kristin of E! Online, the woman that portrays Olive Snook isn't done singing on the show. Responding to a reader question asking when we might be treated to another tune, Kristin wrote:

Kristin C. will have her very own "Sound of Music" moment, singing on a hillside, after joining the...wait for it...nunnery! Told, ya: awesome.

Awesome indeed!

Kristin Chenoweth

Kristin Chenoweth has the best voice on television, hands (or vocal chords) down!

Pushing Daisies Spoilers: A Young Olive Snook

According to Kristin from E! Online, Pushing Daisies fans can look forward to more flashbacks in season two. But not just from Ned.

The reporter says we'll be treated to glimpse of a young Olive Snook:

We're going to meet baby Olive! Pushing Daisies is currently casting for a young Olive Snook, and in flashback scenes in episode three, we'll also meet her negligent parents. Yay!

Awed Olive

We'll find out more about Olive in season two of Pushing Daisies.

Pushing Daisies Spoiler: Which Character is Gay?

Pushing Daisies creator Simon Fuller has told AfterElton.com that a character on the show is gay. Don't read anymore if you wish to be surprised....

Ready?

"It's the coroner," Fuller said, referring to the character played by Sy Richardson. "We were going to slowly expand his character and kind of reveal that he has a little crush on Emerson."

"I didn't want to just do another, like, pretty gay person," Fuller added. "I thought it would be interesting to have an older character be gay."

We think he's right. Do you?

Pushing Daisies Spoilers, News from Paley Festival

The cast and crew of Pushing Daisies made an appearance at this year's Paley Festival in Hollywood. Good friend Michael Ausiello of TV Guide has the full report, but here are a few fun tidbits from the panel:

Participants: Bryan Fuller (creator), Lee Pace (Ned), Anna Friel (Chuck), Kristin Chenoweth (Olive), Chi McBride (Emerson), Ellen Greene (Vivian), Peter Ocko (coexecutive producer), Dan Jinks (executive producer), Bruce Cohen (executive producer) and frenemy Kristin Dos Santos (moderator).

Kristin's Choice: Chenoweth chose Daisies over a starring role in Broadway's Young Frankenstein. "You have these decisions that come along in your career and sometimes they're not easy," she said. "But I definitely feel like I made the right one."

Wish List: Fuller wants Carol Burnett on the show.

Strike Fallout
: "I think in the long run, [the break] was a really good thing for the show," Fuller admitted. "It gave us a chance to look back at the nine episodes and [figure out] what was working and what was not working. The arc of the first nine was a soft, romantic arc. In the second season, we want to do something a little harder and a little more aggressive in the style of storytelling. We learned a lot of lessons."

Spoiler Alert: Chuck will definitely find out who her real mother is in Season 2. "It's going to be interesting to see how she reacts to that information," said Fuller, "and how the Pie Maker tries to control her trajectory and how that will complicate their relationship. There are going to be some nice surprises."

Pushing Daisies Spoilers: Chuck's Father is... Alive?!?

Whenever the writers' strike comes to an end, Kristin from E! Online says fans can look forward to some "fantastic stuff" on Pushing Daisies.

As if we'd expect anything less.

Lonely and Cold

Here's the TV columnist's take on the future of the show. (Mini Pushing Daisies spoiler warning!)

We're going to find out that Chuck's father is still in the picture. Can you hear Ned and Chuck's hearts mending? Yeah, those two are so not done. I'm also told this knowledge of Chuck's mama will put Olive in a verrry interesting predicament, as she has to decide whether or not to tell her. Really fantastic stuff coming up after the strike.

Pushing Daisies Spoiler: Molly Shannon Added to Cast?

No new Pushing Daisies episode tonight. But there is this interesting piece of news:

Television critic/guru Michael Ausiello of TV Guide provided the following scoop about our favorite show during a recent Q&A with fans:

If you thought Molly Shannon was as much a hoot as scheming (and possible killer) taffy merchant Dilly Balsam as I did, then you're in luck: I'm hearing there's a chance her role could become permanent. That is, if this strike ever ends!

What do you think Solid addition? Let us know now in the Pushing Daisies forum!
