Might the dreams of Sheldon Cooper, and every fan in The Big Bang Theory universe, soon come true?

Producer Bill Prady says he'll ask Leonard Nimoy - the actor whose DNA is on a napkin in Sheldon's possession - to make an appearance on the CBS sitcom this fall.

“We’ll probably make a general inquiry,” Prady told Entertainment Weekly. “And if there’s enough interest, we’ll develop a story. The fans have said that’s the dream get, and we agree.”

The iconic Star Trek actor turned down an invitation to appear on The Big Bang Theory last year. But he's since recurred as William Bell on Fringe and might be open to the opportunity next season.

We assume the answer is obvious, Big Bang viewers, but would you wanna see Nimoy on the show?

As reporter earlier this week, Wil Wheaton will reprise his role (as an evil version of himself) later this season on The Big Bang Theory.

The actor will also resurrect his feud with Shelton, but in an unusual manner: the pair will have a showdown in a bowling alley.

“Sheldon sees this as an opportunity to settle the score and right the injustice that was created when Wil beat him at the fantasy card game,” producer Bill Prady said, referring to the April 12 episode and to the scene below from October.

What will be the outcome of this bowl-off? Prady told Entertainment Weekly:

“Wil’s competitive desire to win at all costs will [inflict] collateral damage on other characters.”

How intriguing and, we assume, hilarious. The Big Bang Theory returns with a new episode on March 1.

As previously reported, Stan Lee will guest star on the March 1 episode of The Big Bang Theory.

This is great news for Sheldon, except for one problem: the character ends up in jail on that episode, following a minor traffic infraction and Sheldon's “lack of delicacy with the English language," as Jim Parsons explains to Entertainment Weekly.

“He gets pushed to his limits and gets cross with the judge,” Parsons told the magazine. “The phrase ‘catching more flies with sugar than with vinegar’ makes no sense to him. The truth is really all that matters.”

Of course, Sheldon soon “realizes he doesn’t [have] a private bathroom" in the cell, producer Chuck Lorre adds. Therefore, he's happy to apologize and get the heck out of there.

Will he actually get to meet Lee? Lorre says yes, but: “It doesn’t go well."

No shock there. But likely many, many laughs.

When The Big Bang Theory returns with a new episode, "The Psychic Vortex," on January 11th, we're in for one heck of a surprise.   In one of the most unlikeliest of adventures, Raj and Sheldon head out to a University mixer together where they meet two women.

It looks like with Wolowitz in a relationship, Raj is forced to take on one of the worst imaginable wingmen, Sheldon.  However, by some miracle, the two of them manage to meet Martha (Jen Drohan) and Abby (Danica McKellar).

If that weren't impressive enough, Raj and Sheldon manage to take the two lucky ladies back to their place for a night of Rock Band.  Hopefully our wishes will come true and Raj will get over his inability to speak in front of women.  We certainly wouldn't mind having our childhood crush, Winnie, joining The Big Bang Theory cast.

Meanwhile, Penny and Leonard will enjoy their usual storyline of fighting.  This time the two will bicker when he finds out that she believes in pyschics.

We already knew that Christine Baranski would be reprising her role as Leonard's mother on next week's episode of The Big Bang Theory.

She debuted as the character in February.

But we had no idea what Mrs. Hofstadter would be up to on "The Maternal Congruence" until we saw the photo below. Now, Monday night can't arrive quickly enough.

In case the mere appearance of Katee Sackhoff on The Big Bang Theory isn't exciting enough, take note:

The former Battlestar Galactica star will get naked on the CBS sitcom. Seriously! (Editor's note: you won't actually see anything, in case that wasn't obvious.)

As previously reported, the actress will guest star on the November 23 episode of the show. USA Today has run the first photo of Sackhoff on the series, as she'll drink with Simon Helberg's Howard Wolowitz in the bathtub.

The above scene doesn't take place in real life, of course.

As fans know, Wolowitz enjoys the occasional daydream.

"But he can't recognize what's right in front of him because he's mesmerized by fantasies about women from sci-fi," says creator Chuck Lorre. "The scene is his mental image of Katee, but she's telling him the truth, that he's missing out on real life."

For now, Sackhoff - who will appear as a series regular on season eight of 24 - is only booked for one episode. But she's open to more, the newspaper reports.

"That would be terrific," said Lorre. "She could definitely be...  his muse, the magnificent woman who tells him the truth. We should all have a conscience that looks like Katee Sackhoff."

With November Sweeps approaching, The Big Bang Theory will interrupt the domestic bliss between Penny and Leonard in order to entertain viewers.

According to executive producer Bill Prady, the new couple will have its first fight next month, a dust-up that he vows will be “a big, giant, knockdown, drag-out fight.”

As told to TV Guide Magazine, Penny - still fuming - will run into Stuart, who she dated prior to getting with Leonard. Meanwhile, Prady says:

“Sheldon discovers that Penny and Leonard fighting is a little too reminiscent of his growing up back in Texas," so he tries to patch things up between them.

In other unexpected news: Wolowitz might get lucky... with a girl!

On Monday's episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary," Wil Wheaton guest stars as himself. Sort of.

Unlike the real-life Star Trek actor (who's actually a nice guy), the actor will be portraying a version of himself that had an argument with Sheldon during an autograph signing years ago.

Now, Sheldon looks at Wheaton as his nemesis - and the two of them will engage in an epic card battle on Monday. Look for Sheldon to eam with Raj on his team, while Wheaton will partner with the comic book store owner, Stuart.

Meanwhile, Wolowitz will spend the episode begging Penny to set him up with one of her friends.  Check out some more pics from the episode:

Lewis Black will guest star this fall on an episode of The Big Bang Theory.

The stand-up comedian and Daily Show contributor will appear in the September 28 installment of the sitcom in the role of Professor Crawley, an entomologist whose life is a shambles. He gets involved in a bet between Sheldon and Wolowitz.

As for the show's other big storyline heading into season three, executive producer Bill Prady spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming hook-up between Leonard and Penny.

"There’s been two years of foreplay and the feeling was that it’s time," Prady said about these two getting together. "We know how Penny feels and we know how Leonard feels. And when he comes back from the North Pole [in the season premiere], she’s figured everything out and thinks they should just got for it. But a Sheldon crisis keeps Leonard from being able to move forward.”

It's been confirmed that Leonard and Penny will get together this fall on The Big Bang Theory.

But the relationship won't exactly go smoothly, as executive producer Bill Prady told Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello in that magazine's latest issue.

"When they finally [have sex], it doesn't go so great," he said. "There was so much anticipation that when they finally make it all the way, they have trouble finding their groove."

Well, sure. Who among us hasn't been there?!?

Also, Prady aded, "Sheldon does not like waking up to find Penny in their apartment."
