Sam Daly to Recur on The Office

A family feud is coming to Thursday nights!

While Tim Daly stars on Private Practice, his son has just signed on for a recurring role on The Office.

Sam Daly debut on the December 10 episode of the NBC sitcom. He'll appear as Oscar’s new, younger boyfriend.

“He looks like Tim, except he has blonde hair,” said Oscar Martinez (Oscar) “He’s six foot tall and really nice.”

While nothing has been confirmed yet, Daly will likely appear on multiple episodes.

Martinez told TV Guide Magazine that it may take awhile before Oscar’s co-workers discover he's gone all cougar on them.

“I’m not sure if people at the office are going to find out about this right away," he said.

The Office Wedding: Photos Galore!

On this week's episode of The Office, Pam tried her best to figure out who was coming to her and Jim's wedding.

Consider this a spoiler, but we can confirm that the entire gang makes it to Niagra Falls for the October 8 episode titled "Niagra."

During this one-hour special, Jim will screw up his rehearsal dinner toast; Kevin and Oscar will be mistaken for a couple; Andy will go after Erin; and, oh yeah, the ceremony viewers have waited five years for will take place!

Be warned: The Office quotes that week may be as sentimental as they are funny. We can't wait.

Click on the photos below for an early look at scenes from the episode, highlighted by a certain, once-in-a-lifetime kiss:

The Office Wedding Spoilers: Get All the Details!

On October 8, The Office quotes will go from hilarious to sentimental. Sort of.

On that date, the NBC sitcom airs a one-hour episode that focuses on an event years in the making: Jim and Pam's wedding.

In the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, various cast members speak on the occasion, which will be set at Niagra Falls.

“It’s about keeping this relationship as real as we can instead of making it a television romance,” said John Krasinski (Jim). “When you have two characters who are so perfect for each other, it’s a little weird for them to not get married.  So you have to put that step in, whether it’s been done on television successfully before or not.”

The Office on EW

This is The Office, of course. Not everything will go smoothly during the wedding weekend.

Said Paul Lieberstein (a wrier on the show, and the actor that portrays the underrated Toby), referring to a rehearsal dinner mistake:  "Jim ruins his own wedding.”

Meanwhile, Pam is pregnant and a baby will soon enter the picture. But Steve Carell assures fans the show won't go from funny to cheesy:

“I don’t’ think the show will become The Office Baby,” he said, while Lieberstein adds that “we’re certainly not going to ignore the kid.  But one of the things that’s great about being an office comedy is kids don’t really come to work with you.”

The Office Spoilers: Romance, Cheating and Pregnancies (Plural)

Now that Jim and Pam are getting married, Dwight and Angela are broken up and Michael and Holly are on the back burner, is romance dead on The Office?

Hardly. Don't forget Erin the receptionist and lone single hot girl at Dunder-Mifflin! According to TV Guide, the perky brunette "will find love this season."

Who with? Our money's on the 'Nard-dog. Andy.

Erin on The Office

What else do we have to look forward to? The Season 6 premiere, which is about gossip (Office gossip, not celebrity gossip, Kelly's forte), holds the following:

  • At least one (!) employee is pregnant
  • One is cheating on his / her partner
  • One is questioning his or her sexuality

Any theories? Throw them out there, Office fans!!

The Office Spoiler: Jim and Pam to Marry in Episode Four

Yes. Jim and Pam are actually going to get married this season on The Office.

That's finally been established, so the only question is when. The current rumor is sooner rather than later. Episode 4 of the upcoming Season Six, according to TV Guide.

Why the rush? Because Pam doesn't want anyone to know that she's expecting: "Hilarity ensues when an unlikely party becomes her accidental confidante. No, not Phyllis."

Who could it be? All we know is it should make for good Office quotes.

The Office Spoilers: Dwight and Angela

After "The Duel" on The Office last season, that pretty much meant the lewd and secret romance of Dwight and Angela (Aight? Dwangela?) was done forever. Right?

Looks like it. B.J. Novak, who writes and produces The Office and also plays Ryan Howard, recently told E!, "I love seeing Dwight as Dwight and Angela as Angela."

"While it was really exciting to see them together, I think there is still so much comedy you can show with Dwight Schrute being single, Dwight just being himself, Angela being Angela."

"I'm excited to see that for a while at least."

But, lest we abandon all hope, "There's always hope [for them], and the past is always present with everyone. It's a small office, so those things build up over time."

The Office Spoilers: A Jim-Pam Destination Wedding!

It’s official, even if Michael Scott doesn’t know yet.

Pam Beesly and Jim Halpert from The Office are tying the knot this season, midway through Pam’s pregnancy. Jenna Fischer broke the news to TV Guide.

She’s being fitted for wedding gowns with room for a baby bump!

“The plan is for Pam and Jim to get married in the fourth episode,” she said from The Office set, where production on Season Six began last week.

Writers are still working out the details, but Jenna Fischer said, “It’s going to be a destination wedding, probably Niagara Falls. Because, by making it a destination wedding, the hope for Pam and Jim is that nobody from the office will come.”

Hard to fault that logic. Although The Office quotes wouldn't be nearly as good if none of them made it, so we're guessing at least a few stragglers do.

Office Lovers

Although Pam is pregnant, and will be around four months so when the show returns on September 17, Michael Scott will be clueless. Is anyone surprised?

“We’re keeping it a secret from Michael for a couple reasons,” said Fischer, who recently announced her own engagement to screenwriter Lee Kirk.

“First, Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam aren’t married yet, and also, just, you know, it’s Michael Scott we’re dealing with here.”

Indeed. Fischer, meanwhile, is happy to be back at work - especially since finally she has a better desk, thanks to Pam's promotion, this season. “They moved me from reception to a desk next to John and Rainn Wilson and it’s so much better,” she said.

“It was like I was stuck on an island over at the reception desk. Now I’m between two of the funniest guys on TV and we laugh all day long.”

Asked if she’s certain that Jim is the father of Pam’s baby, Fischer said, “What, do you think this is? Grey's Anatomy? Pam’s a one-man woman, without a doubt!”

Office, Parks and Recreation Creator Dishes on New Seasons

Celebrating The Office's Emmy nominations - the show is up for Outstanding Comedy Series and has been recognized in many other categories - executive producer Greg Daniels gave some hints about the new season, as well as that of his new comedy, Parks and Recreation.

"There's going to be a staffing change for Jim Halpert at work," Daniels reported to TV Guide. "And with Pam pregnant, expect some life moves in that area."

As for Parks and Recreation, the show will be casting a cop who works at town hall and could be a comic foil and love interest for Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope.

The producers of the up-and-coming comedy, which takes place in fictional Pawnee, Ind., also looking for a host for a local political talk show called Pawnee Today.

What about former Alaska governor Sarah Palin?

"Probably not," says Greg Daniels of the soon-to-be-unemployed politician. "But we do have a beauty pageant episode coming up. She might be right for that."

While we won't hold our breath for any Palin cameos, we can't wait for the return of Parks and Recreation and The Office quotes. Thursday nights are the best.

The Office Spoilers: Will Jan Return?

We know his heart belongs to Holly Flax (Amy Ryan). But will Michael Scott's former boss, insane lover and non-baby mama, Jan, ever return to The Office?

According to sources, she sure will.

The lovely Jan Levinson (Melora Hardin) will be back on The Office next season, but only part time. At the recent premiere of her indie flick, You, Melora spilled on what fans can expect from Jan's triumphant (?) return to the world of Dunder-Mifflin:

"I'll be back as a special guest star next year for a couple of episodes. They can't lose Jan, we all love Jan. She will probably be sprinkled in throughout the season."

Teased Melora further, "It will be hilarious to see her as a mother, and we need to find out who the father of Astrid is."

We're just praying it's Kevin.
