It might not comfort them over the loss of Manny Ramirez to a steroids suspension, but Los Angeles Dodgers fans will be inundated with appearances by stars of The Young and the Restless tonight.

Here's why:

On Wednesday's episode, formers Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda will host a call-in show on the drama that helps Kevin and Amber find a new path in their relationship.

The National League West division leaders will promote Lasorda's guest voice-over tonight when they host The Young and the Restless night at Dodger Stadium.

Prior to L.A.'s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Adrienne Frantz will sing the National Anthem; later, Jamia Simone Nash (Ana) will belt out a rendition "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch.

Based on these spoilers for The Young and the Restless, the show will welcome June with a marriage proposal...

• Jack proposed to Sharon.

Due to Memorial Day, there are only four new episodes of The Young and the Restless next week. Expect these developments to take place during them...

• Chloe heads down a dangerous path.

Victor has a new son.

Michael Muhney, best known by Veronica Mars fans for his role as Sheriff Lamb, has been cast on the The Young and the Restless as Adam Wilson.

According to TV Guide, Muhney's first air date on daytime's top drama will be Thursday, June 25. The actor replaces Chris Engen, who filled the role since February 2008.

Among other developments next week on The Young and the Restless, Phillip Chancellor IV returns...

Might Thom Bierdz be on his way back to Genoa City?

Soap Opera Digest's Carolyn Hinsey spoke with Maria Arena Bell, the head writer on The Young and the Restless, last week.

Bell confirmed the rumor that a major character is coming back to town. She even told Hinsey the date: Friday, May 15.

Because we already know that's Lily and Cane's wedding, Hinsey surmises it could be Thom Bierdz, the original Phillip Chancellor.

"Nina's back, his grown son has just been cast with GL's John Driscoll, and Maria Bell is all about undoing everything Lynn Latham did," writes Hinsey. "Either that, or she finally talked her sister-in-law Lauralee Bell (Chris) into coming back."

Coming up, over the next few episodes of The Young and the Restless...

• Preparations for Lily and Cane's wedding: underway!
• Karen hands Neil divorce papers.
• Paul proposes to Nikki.
• Daniel agrees to the secret agent's offer.

On Friday, The Young and the Restless viewers were treated to the re-emgerence of Nina.

The character, played by Tricia Cast, returned to Genoa City for Katherine and Murphy's wedding.

This won't be the last we'll see of Nina, however, as Cast will appear on today and tomorrow's episodes of the top-rated daytime drama, as well. Also look for her on May 12 and May 15.

Nina will interact with numberous Genoa City residents, but mostly expect her to focus on a few unresolved issues with Jill and Cane.

Big slaps and big returns highlight the week ahead on The Young and the Restless...

• Ouch. Mac slaps Billy!
• Victor is shocked that Katherine hired Neil.
• Cassie returns... and has advice for Sharon.
• Ashley is rushed to the hospital.

She's been dead for the last  four years. But this is daytime drama, and the character of Cassie Newman is returning to The Young and the Restless on May 6.

Camryn Grimes (pictured) will reprise this role during a dream sequence that finds Sharon guided by Cassie on what life would be like for Nicholas and her.

In case one ghostly spirit wasn't enough, look for Jerry Douglas to appear on the show a day earlier.

On May 5, the character returns to give advice to son Billy Abbot, who recently married Chloe and is in the process of rekindling his romance with ex-girlfriend Mackenzie Browning.
