We've waited a month to see what happens next on Ugly Betty.

Since the fire, Betty has had her entire family living with her in her apartment.

Betty goes to the fire house to see if she could speed things up with their report - by agreeing to go on a date with a rather annoying fireman, Jimmy.

Meanwhile, Wilhelmina tries to prove to an old flame, Don, an old flame that she is"Wanda from the block" and not a super bitch.

Amanda convinces Claire to hire Tyler as an in-house model at Mode. While Justin admits to Marc that he was the one who started the fire.

Hilda is super nervous meeting Bobby's parents for the first time - Lainie Kazan and Nestor Serrano guest star as Bobby's parents.

After a month off the air, Ugly Betty returns with a new episode next week.

But that's not the most exciting news regarding this ABC series.

Earlier today, Becki Newton, Ana Ortiz and America Ferrera were spotted in New York City, shooting scenes for a future installment. There's something different about Ferrera's character in the shots below, isn't there? Can you tell what it is?

ABC may have canceled Ugly Betty, but the network did the show and its loyal followers a favor:

By announcing this decision in early 2010, it gave writers enough time to come up with an appropriate conclusion to this once-popular series.

For example, creator Silvio Hortahas already teased fans with a season finale storyline: a major character will get married.

Who might it be? A new interview appears to have revealed the lucky bride.

Fashion week brings nothing but the crazies out for everyone on Ugly Betty this Wednesday at 10pm.

Betty gets assigned to cover a meaningless fashion show. There, she finds a new designer, Marisa, who really catches her eye. Before Betty can label her as one of the top 10 Designers to Watch, Marc comes and blows Betty's story out of the ballpark.

Meanwhile, Claire's illegitimate son Tyler (Neal Bledsoe) comes to New York to find her, while Daniel somehow gets seduced into modeling.

Although out of a job, Helen(Kristen Johnston)  impresses Amanda with her sewing capabilities. Will this mean a new career on the horizon?

It will definitely be worth tuning into - if for anything - the Suarez house mysteriously catches fire!

This much we know: Ugly Betty has been canceled.

This much, of course, we're still waiting to find out: How will the series say goodbye?

Because ABC has also reduced the number of fourth season episodes from 22 to 20, series creator Silvio Horta must wrap up years' worth of storylines in a short amount of time. How will he do so? For starters:

“The braces are coming off,” he told Entertainment Weekly of a March episode. “There’s a big fantasy element to it. We’ll ask the question, ‘What if Betty had perfect teeth?'"

Professionally, Betty will be offered a new job that “may take her away from Mode,” said Horta. “We’re going to see how that impacts the people she works with as well as her family.”

What else can viewers expect as this unique show winds down?

• Justin will kiss a man.
• Wilhelmina’s first love (played by Brian Stokes Mitchell) shows up.
• Amanda will hook up with Daniel's half-brother.
• There will be a wedding.

What else could fans ask for? Well, many more seasons of the show, as well as a resolution to Betty's love life. The former is no longer an option, but will the latter come into play this spring?

Tune in. Find out. We certanly will.

Newly single Betty tries to be neighborly by planning a karaoke party in her apartment building.

Trouble always seems to follow Betty - her building is robbed, and it’s sort of her fault. Poor Marc! Something that was irreplaceable was stolen in the robbery.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Wilhelmina are back at it - just like cat's and dog's fighting with each other. So, Amanda tricks them into attending couple's counseling. Frank Whaley guest stars as their Dr. Sparks.

Although Bobby has changed and become the man Hilda needs, Ignacio refuses to accept Bobby.

This Wednesday brings an all new episode of Ugly Betty. And by the looks of it, a whole new Betty too! Looks like lady got her braces off!

This has to be the silver lining in her dark cloud because this week is supposed to be Betty's worst week EVER. 

The episode will have Betty recounting all the horrible things Wilhelmina puts her through to Mr. Z (guest star Fisher Stevens). However, she will not let Wilhelmina get the best of her. Throughout all of the evil experiments, Betty will prevail. 

Meanwhile, Bobby treats a hormonal Hilda to some pampering during "Hilda Week," and Wilhelmina makes a conjugal visit to an incarcerated Connor.

It's not at the level of Team Edward vs. Team Jacob, but Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta has his own dating dilemma to consider:

Should his show's title character end up with Daniel or Henry?

The issue is relevant because this may be Ugly Betty's final season, even though ABC is giving the series a major boost by shifting it to Wednesday nights, starting ths week.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Horta admits he's considering a romance between Betty and Daniel: “We’ve been batting around the idea. It is not outside the realm of possibility that something [could] happen, but we’re not sure yet.”

As for Chris Gorham's Henry? “I think there is a place for him to come back in some way,” Horta said. “But I don’t know if them being together at the end is what’s going to happen.”

What will happen? The creator isn't sure. However, he has resigned himself to one fact: “You’re always going to piss somebody off.”

This Wednesday, Ugly Betty meets Modern Family.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell on the latter sitcom, reprises his role as Betty's orthodontist, Dr. Farkas.

The bad news for Ugly Betty fans: the show is off the air until January 6.

The great news: that's a Wednesday.

As has been rumored for weeks, the show is abadoning its graveyard of a time slot on Friday nights and moving to the middle of the week when it returns. But that's not all:

Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family's Mitchell) will reprise his role as Betty's orthodontist on the January 6 installment. Among other storylines viewers can look forward to:

• Betty surprises Matt with a gallery showing of his art work. Tony Award-winning actress Christine Ebersole (pictured below) guest stars as Frances, the gallery owner;
• Matt Newton returns as Marc's one-night stand, Troy, who is clearly smitten with Marc;
• Hilda struggles with whether or not to tell Bobby that he's the father of her unborn child;
• Cal Hartley hires a major Hollywood player, Denise Ludwig, to replace Wilhemina.
