V Clip, Photos from "A Bright New Day"

As Chad Decker says in the clip below, V opens doors across the country to those "not just from beyond our borders, but beyond our imaginations" next week.

On the episode "A Bright New Day," Anna and company are issued American Visas, a fact that doesn't sit well with many citizens.

When one of them makes a death threat against the Visitors, Erica is placed in the awkward position of protecting her enemies. Watch a clip from the hour now:

V Sneak Peeks: "There is No Normal Anymore"

Following an outstanding series premiere, V will hopefully maintain its momentum with a new episode Tuesday night.

Titled "There is No Normal Anymore," the hour will focus on: Ryan's secret life; Jack and Erica's burgeoning plan; and Chad's investigative endeavors.

Below, we've posted a clip from the hour, as Ryan is lying in bed with Valerie, happy, without a care in the world... until he enters the bathroom and is reminded of his rather enormous secret:

V: The First Eight Minutes

Where were you when JFK was assassinated?

Where were you on 9/11?

The opening of V - ABC's new alien-based series that premieres on November 3 - asks these questions.

While you can read through all the V spoilers you can find, nothing is more revealing about the series than its opening few minutes.

Revealed: V Series Premiere Pics

We're just over a week away from the series premiere of V.

The ABC drama will debut on November 3, air four episodes and then return again in the spring. The network is hoping to make the sort of quick, buzz-worthy splash that Fox made by airing just one installment of Glee in May before rolling out a full season this fall.

Such a strategy clearly worked out well for that show.

V is anchored by Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays FBI agent Erica Evans. She questions the presence of a visiting species referred to as the Visitors, who are mostly embraced by humans on Earth.

But can Anna, the leader of this group, really be trusted? It's an intriguing concept, though one has to wonder about its potential for long-term success. Below, we've compiled a few images from the series premiere:

V: The First Official Promo

There was plenty to digest on last night's series premiere of FlashForward - why the heck was a kangaroo hopping down the highway?!? - but many viewers are actually buzzing about a commercial from the episode.

But not just any commercial: the first, official, extended promo for V, another highly anticipated drama on ABC that premieres on November 3.

A show version of a 1983 mini-series, V stars Elizabeth Mitchell and Scott Wolf, among many others. It focuses on the inclusion of an alien race into the everyday lives of people on earth.

It looks intriguing. Watch the trailer below:

Premiere Date Announced for V

ABC has set a premiere date for V.

The sci-fi series, which is based on a 1980s miniseries by the same name, will invade TV screens across the nation on Tuesday, November 3.

The show centers human being's first encounter with an alien race. Its cast is led by Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays FBI counter terrorism agent Erica Evans.

V Cast

This character is the first to discover the possibly sinister clues that lay beneath the skin of the strange visitors.

Logan Huffan also stars in the series, as Evans' son; while Scott Wolfe plays news anchor Chad Decker, who wants to advance his career by getting an exclusive interview with the aliens' leader.

Elizabeth Mitchell Discusses Upcoming Seasons of V, Lost

Instead of bouncing around the space-time continuum on Lost this fall, the lovely Elizabeth Mitchell is fighting reptilian aliens on a remake of the '80s miniseries V.

However, that doesn't mean Juliet doesn't make at least an appearance in the sixth and final season of Lost. Here are excerpts of E! Online's Q&A with the star ...

Q: When I read the pilot, I absolutely called that the part of Erica Evans was written for you, despite the reports that you were just a guest star on the series.

A: They actually said that it kind of was, but they didn't think I was going to be able to do it. I love the idea that it was so different from Juliet.

We have someone who's got a lot more hope this time, a lot more excitement.

Q: For who don't know too much about V, can you discuss your character?

Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans

A: Erica is a federal agent doing counterterrorism. She deals with finding sleeper cells and basically eradicating them as much as possible. She's smart and intelligent and all the things that you would want someone who is protecting our country to be. I must have a hero complex. I keep gravitating toward these roles. She has a son, and she's in love with her son, and her son is in love with the Visitors. She has to deal with the fact that she has to save him for the most part. Her husband just left her, so she's a brokenhearted counterterrorist detective.

Q: When it comes down to it, what's more important, protecting your son or protecting the world?

A: I think it's going to come down to both being the same thing. I think her son is becoming a huge example of what is going wrong, of the fact that this is becoming insidious, that these people are like toxins seeping into our groundwater. They're going to be everywhere. I think it's a little bit terrifying. She's actively trying to do something about it, and it's like the smallest person you can imagine against an army of millions. I like those odds. I think they make for good drama.

V Spoilers: Pilot is Supposedly Great!

We don't mean to overly inflate expectations for a show we haven't even seen yet, but... according to E! Online, the V pilot ranks as an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.

No, really, that's what people are saying. According to the site's weekly TV spoiler Q&A, "V is the best pilot we've seen in, well, forever." Excited yet? Furthermore:

"Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, below) is amazing. Scott Wolf (Party of Five) is adorable and charming. You won't be able to take your eyes off Morena Baccarin (Firefly)."

Sounds like it exceeds expectations. From early reviews, it appears Flash Forward (sorry, FlashForward) is drawing raves as well, giving ABC two strong sci-fi pilots!

Casting Note From V Series Premiere

Regarding ABC's upcoming remake of V, Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly notes that, at least in his mind, someone we have been led to believe was a series regular on the show is actually just a guest star in the series premiere.

The show stars:

Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans; Morris Chestnut as Ryan Nichols; Joel Gretsch as Father Jack Landry; Lourdes Benedicto as Valerie Stevens; Laura Vandervoort as Lisa; Logan Huffman as Tyler Evans; with Morena Baccarin as Anna; and Scott Wolf as Chad Decker.

Who could it be that makes a mere cameo?

Jeff Bell Signed to Oversee "V"

Warner Bros. Television, has signed Jeff Bell to a two-year, seven-figure deal in which he will serve as the showrunner for the studio's upcoming ABC drama "V."

"Like many people, I have fond memories of the original miniseries," Bell said of the old, and new series. "And to see how they did it now, it's epic."

Jeff Bell has already met with the writing staff. The challenge, he said, is to map out what direction "V" might take over the next several seasons.

Aliens on V

Just as the original "V" used the story of an alien invasion as an allegory for Nazi Germany, new "V" will tackle issues of government, devotion, race and faith.

"Especially when you look at our current times, with the economy, wars and social strife, it's the perfect time for a force like this to come along," Bell said.

"In many ways this is very American, individuals vs. society. It's about how America can appreciate and question things that seem to be too good to be true."

ABC has 13 episodes of "V" on tap for this season (click here for a first look), with the show set to launch in mid-season, sometime after January 2010.

Much like Lost, the network says "V" will have a set beginning, middle and end - allowing the show's producers to properly map out the series mythology.
