Game of Thrones Gets Season 8 Premiere Date - Watch New Teaser

at .

HBO has finally revealed when fans can expect Game of Thrones Season 8 to get underway, and it's a little sooner than many originally thought.

Sunday, April 14 is the date the fight #ForTheThrone continues, and that's not all HBO gave away to eagle-eyed viewers Sunday night.

The premium cabler also unveiled a brand new teaser that shows Arya and Sansa Stark, as well as Jon Snow in the crypt and hearing the voices of their fallen loved ones.

However, things take a spine-tingling turn when the trio finds themselves faced with statues of their own in the crypt, seemingly confirming it's the end of the line for the family.

As ice engulfs the crypt, a feather that fell to the ground earlier is changed forever.

Jon and Arya pull out their trusty weapons and get ready to do battle at whatever is headed their way.

The feather is reminiscent of the scene from Game of Thrones Season 1 in which Robert Baratheon puts a feather on Lyanna Stark's statue.

There's a pivotal moment at the top of this teaser, and it involves Jon and Lyanna, so you should probably hit play if you want to know more about it.

Game of Thrones last aired in August 2017, so fans have been waiting quite some time now for the final season to get underway.

What are your thoughts on this teaser and the premiere date?
