The Expanse: Dulcinea (Full Episode)

In the 23rd century we've colonized the solar system, but naturally war is inevitable.

Tensions between Earth, Mars and the Asteroid Belt are at an all time high and in The Expanse Season 1 Episode 1 we witness an event that may finally ignite a war.

The disappearance of heiress, Julie Mao (Florence Faivre), brings a "Belter" detective and an Earther from an ice hauler together to uncover a massive conspiracy. How is Julie connected? Can the duo figure this all out before humanity is wiped out?

Based on the best-selling book series by James S. A. Corey, The Expanse stars Thomas Jane as Detective Miller and Steven Strait as Earther, Jim Holden.

The two actors, along with Emmy winner Shohreh Aghdashloo, as ruthless politician Chrisjen Avasarala, are at the center of our story.

Other cast members appearing throughout the first season include: Dominique Tipper (Naomi Nagata), Cas Anvar (Alex Kamal), Wes Chatham (Amos Burton), Chad Coleman (Fred Johnson), Paulo Costanzo (Shed Garvy), Jay Hernandez (Dmitri Havelock), and Jared Harris (Anderson Dawes).

This epic space opera is probably one of Syfy's most ambitious series ever.

Though the plot is thrilling and filled with unpredictable twists and turns, at its heart The Expanse is a character driven drama.

You will quickly find yourself caught up in the mystery of Julie's disappearance. Holden proves himself to be a likeable and upstanding guy, committed to the welfare of his crew. Though Detective Miller is not as well-liked, the guy is damn good at his job and determined to get some answers.

These are real people thrust into extraordinary circumstances, and we get to go along for the ride.

The Expanse's two-night premiere on Syfy is Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 15 at 10/9c. It then settles in on Tuesday nights at 10/9c for the remainder of its 10-episode run.

Luckily for us, Syfy has decided to debut this first episode early via VOD and online. You've got the opportunity to watch the pilot episode a full 2 weeks before its official release. I have no doubt you will fall in love with this series... as I have.
