By now, most Grey's Anatomy fans agree it's time for the news of the Isaiah Washington / T.R. Knight drama to fizzle out.

With Isaiah Washington Back, Grey's Anatomy Cast Returning to Normal
So does Katherine Heigl.

In an interview with ContactMusic, Katherine said she is confident everything will be okay with the Grey's Anatomy cast going forward, and that so far, things are progressing very well.

Heigl claims the cast usually gets along well and that the set felt "like work as usual" now that Isaiah Washington has returned from his stint in counseling.

The 28-year-old actress, a close friend of T.R. Knight, believes the appropriate measures were taken under the circumstances.

"If it were ignored or just brushed under the rug, I would be upset about it. But [Isaiah] is trying very hard. We're all trying very hard. I have been very verbal about all of this, but there isn't a lot to say right now. Which is good. We're all hopeful."

Guess that's all her fellow cast members - and fans - can ask for as we put this difficult issue behind us.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.
