Diddy Begins to Make a New Band Tonight

MTV debuts Making the Band 4, the first season of a new series in the franchise. This time, Diddy is "looking to put together an all-male group of superstars," the music channel reports.

Fans, meanwhile, have already had input into this season.

The show's MySpace friends "had an input into the cast of the show," according to the New York Daily News. They voted on audition tapes, just as The Real World is currently doing, with Diddy adding: "In this day and age of being interactive, you just have to trust the voice of your fans. I think a lot of us are using the Internet to our advantage to keep everyone engaged in the process."

The rap mogul and boyfriend of Kim Porter also tells the paper that this group will be unlike other boy bands, but doesn't do a deft job of explaining why.

"It's definitely not following in the footsteps of Backstreet, ‘N Sync, or Boyz II Men. It's really just a male group, and I think it will be a thing that people will respect," he said, apparently thinking those other groups weren't male enough.

Actually, it's hard to blame him for that view.

I’m writing in the paper that Kingfisher is on the verge of bankruptcy … which it is. The next morning, I get slapped with two lawsuits from Natey Flint. He takes out a liable suit against the Sunrise Herald and a one-million-dollar liable suit against me.

Stacey: Do you know of any fires in this area?
Frank Kovick: There was one in ’41.
Stacey: There was one in ’41? Where?
Frank Kovick: In Sunrise.
Stacey: Sunrise…
Frank Kovick: It was huge, it destroyed most of the town.
Stacey: Really?!
Frank Kovick: Founders Day fire. They called it the “Miracle Fire” because nobody died.
