The event is a fashion show competition in which local high schools compete for prizes, including a trip to meet Kimora Lee Simmons. The benefit also honors a non-profit organization whose mission is to provie rewarding experiences for local area youth who are interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts.

While Gonzalez took on the hosting duties, the judging was handled by singer/actress Taraji Henson of Hustle and Flow fame, and Paul Wharton, whose credits include MTV's Made and VH-1's The Agency.
