Chuck Spoilers: Scott Bakula is Chuck's Dad!

at .

Wow have we got one of the best Chuck casting calls slash spoiler since we got wind that Chevy Chase was guest starring on the hit NBC comedy.  Oh wait, that was yesterday.

It turns out that Scott Bakula (the man from Quantum Leap) has been cast as Chuck's father in a three episode arc according to what Chuck's creator Josh Schwartz told Ausiello files.

Zachary Levi as Chuck

As Schwartz reminds us, "Chuck made a promise to his sister, Ellie, that he was going to find their dad in time for her wedding.  And it's something that Chuck becomes consumed with pursuing during the second half of the season."

"But when he finds him, he's not necessarily a guy who wants to be found," Schwartz continues, "He's living in a trailer, he's disheveled, he's paranoid and he's claiming constantly that Ted Roark (Chevy Chase), who he used to work with, stole all his ideas from him. And Ted Roark has now become this super-successful software billionaire, and Chuck's dad has become an eccentric, living in the shadows."

Expect the episodes of Chuck featuring his father to air in April.

Chuck Quotes

Sarah: Wow, I didn't think people still named their kids Chuck. Or Morgan, for that matter.
Chuck: My parents were sadists, and carnival freaks found him in a dumpster.
Morgan: But they raised me as one of their own!

Chuck: Uh, you know, Sis, the thing is, Morgan and I don't really feel like we're fitting in...at my birthday party...'cause we don't know anybody, 'cause they're all your friends, and they all happen to be doctors.
Morgan: Doctors who don't really get our jokes!
Chuck: Well, your jokes
