Although Grey's Anatomy is off this week, Private Practice is all-new, airing "Second Chances," at 10 p.m., right after a repeat of its parent series.

Tonight's episode sets the stage for next week's crossover event, as Archer, Addison's brother, moves to L.A. and begins working at the rival practice, to the dismay of his sister. But petty gripes are soon pushed aside as bigger problems arise. Meanwhile, Violet avoids discussing her pregnancy with potential fathers Sheldon and Pete.
