For the most part, "You've Got Yale" was a bit of a departure from some of the heavy drama we've seen in recent episodes - though it did have its share in the end.

The episode focused primarily on Blair Waldorf and her dream of getting into Yale - a quest deferred first by the school wait-listing her, and then by her own determination to take down new teacher Miss Carr, and Miss Carr's surprising willingness to fight back.

Elsewhere, Chuck was able to oust his evil Uncle Jack in a surprising move, then saved the day later that night and even showed us his softer side. Big day for the Bass!
