Ratings Report: The Bachelor

Ratings for last night's episode of The Bachelor were almost as hot as the extended hot tub make out session between Jason Mesnick and Jillian Harris.
In the middle of its biggest season since spring 2004, the dating competition scored a new season high in viewers (12.5 million, according Nielsen estimates) and its biggest audience for a nonfinale in more than five years.
Among other primetime pickings:
- Heroes earned a mere 7.7 million viewers; Chuck welcomed 6.8 million.
- Heroes and 24 tied for second in the 18-49-year old demographic at 9 p.m. No, they couldn't even beat a Two and a Half Men rerun.
- House (14 million) was down from its last new episode - but it was Monday's top-rated show in viewers.
