Grey's Anatomy Recap: "Stand By Me"

at . Comments

"Stand By Me" was a fitting title for last night's Grey's Anatomy.

A face-transplant patient's friends refused to give up on him, despite his severe disfigurement. Cristina helped Izzie see that she has to fight and not just give up. Meredith told a depressed Derek that he needs to get back in the surgical game, if only to save Izzie.

It's all about never giving up and sticking close to the ones we love and care about, and it made for a great episode. Follow the link for a detailed recap of "Stand By Me" ...

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

CRISTINA: "There's a club. The Dead Dads Club. And you can't be in it until you're in it. You can try to understand, you can sympathize. But until you feel that loss... My dad died when I was nine. George, I'm really sorry you had to join the club."
GEORGE: "I... I don't know how to exist in a world where my dad doesn't."
CRISTINA: "Yeah, that never really changes."

The brain is the human body's most mysterious organ. It learns. It changes. It adapts. It tells us what we see, what we hear. It lets us feel love. I think it holds our soul. And no matter how much research we do, no one can really say how all that delicate grey matter inside our skull works. And, when it's hurt, when the human brain is traumatized, well, that's when it gets even more mysterious.
