With Katherine Heigl returning to the cast, does that mean Izzie's cancer is in remission? Or not? She may not be out of the woods just yet when the new season begins.

Looks like Grey's Anatomy is currently casting an oncology resident for Season Six. Make of that what you will, but it doesn't look like Izzie's recovery is imminent.

Then again, if the new season picks up right where the fifth left off in May's cliffhanger, it would make sense that she isn't miraculously cured in minutes. Right?
