Grant Show is the latest original Melrose Place cast members to be rumored for a cameo on the new CW version.

But he won't the last.

According to executive producer, Todd Slavkin: "The alumni are a vital part of our story. We feel there's room for all of them at some point to come into this world."

Making room for these appearances? The murder of Sydney, which takes place within the pilot's first few minutes.

Laura Leighton (Sydney), Thomas Calabro (Michael), Josie Bissett (Jane) and Daphne Zuniga (Jo) will all return to the series that made them famous, while Slavkin told TV Guide he has his sights set on the next former star:

"Courtney Thorne-Smith is someone we're really, really excited about. We're brewing an idea for (her character) Allison Parker."

Thorne-Smith's rep says her client is open to a return. Of course she is. The actress starred for years on According to Jim.

Anything would be an upgrade from that.
