The webs of romance are about to get even more tangled on Castle.

On Monday night, Michael Trucco debuted as Detective Tom Deeming. A new love interest for Beckett, he'll stick around for awhile.

Now, TV Guide reports that Monet Mazur will reprise her role as Gina Cowell - Castle's ex-wife and book editor - on the May season finale. How will this help Castle and Beckett "realize their attraction" for each other, as the show's producer recently teased will take place on the same episode?

It's unclear.

But we do know that Gina Cowell last appeared in the Castle pilot and shows up again because Castle has fallen behind on his latest novel. Cowell aspires to get Castle back on track, "in more ways than one," TV Guide writes.

Over the last couple years, Mazur has appeared on NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI: Miami and Cold Case.
