Jane Lynch: Coming to iCarly

Sadly, we won't see Jane Lynch in the hilarious role of Sue Sylvester until Glee returns in September.

But that doesn't mean the actress will be away from the small screen entirely: she's signed on for a guest-starring role on iCarly.

Lynch will portray the mother of Jennette McCurdy’s Sam on this Nickelodeon hit, as first reported by Michael Ausiello. Look for her appearance to take place some time during season four.

The actress, who recently got married to her long-time girlfriend, says hr eight-year-old stepdaughter is a huge iCarly fan.

No word yet on whether or not Lynch will wear a track suit for this role. Probably not.
