Supernatural producer Eric Kripke has announced more details about the show's upcoming season.

While previous spoilers have revealed that "a brotherly reunion" is ahead, Kripke spoke to EW.com this week and explained how Dean's new family situation will play a key role on the series.

After all, we last left this character as a loving husband to Lisa and doting father to Ben. But the producer makes it clear his show will always center on the Winchester brothers and their "road together.”

“Dean’s situation creates all sorts of angst and conflict," Kripke said. "The question [we'll be] exploring is: How can you be a hunter when there are actually people that you care about? I think we will mine it for all of the emotional angst and conflict that we can."

Remember: Supernatural moves to Fridays in the fall. It will premiere on September 24 and follow Smallville on The CW schedule.
