Is Robert Really Dead on Brothers & Sisters?

Rob Lowe's Robert McCallister died in May's Brothers & Sisters finale ... right?

Dancing with the Stars and Sex and the City hunk turned Brothers & Sisters cast member Gilles Marini hints that perhaps, maybe, fans jumped the gun there.

"We'll see if Rob Lowe is really dead," he told E! Online at Trident's Smiles Across America event at the London West Hollywood hotel. "That's all I'm saying."

"Everyone says, 'Of course, he's dead. He's on that other show,'" Marini said of Lowe's gig on Parks and Recreation. "But are you sure? Are you sure he's dead?"

Pretty sure. It was a horrific car crash and Lowe wanted out for awhile.

Luc will be back this fall ... but will Robert in some capacity?

Nevertheless, Gilles is adamant that: "I want the world to watch the last car crash episode and then this season's first episode ... people will say, 'Wait a minute.'"

Does this mean Lowe will be back on the show in some capacity? We wouldn't hold our breath, but perhaps Robert somehow survived, and is still out of the picture.

In less controversial and universally praised Brothers & Sisters news, Marini revealed he'll be more naked than ever when the series returns for its fifth season.

"I've had to be so health conscious because there's a lot of skin showing," he said. "They gave me no choice." Oh come on, Gilles. Surely you're used to it now ...

Brothers & Sisters Quotes

No, no. No 'Buts'. You're not allowed to give up. You're not allowed to give up because you believe in your gut that this is right. And besides, we've all inherited this absurd drive to make things that, that yes, they seem complicated and they're messy, but we can turn them into something great.
