Laura Bell Bundy is coming to How I Met Your Mother in a pivotal role.

The singer and stage veteran will not be playing the titular role, though.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Bundy, who played Elle Woods in the Broadway version of Legally Blonde, has been cast as Robin’s new co-host on Metro News One.

She succeeds Don, who left town in the May finale after a season in which he wooed, then ultimately dumped Robin for a job she turned down because of their relationship.

Rumor has it Bundy’s character will go out on a date with Ted, but she is not the “complicated and intriguing” love interest executive producer Craig Thomas has teased.
