Fox Planning Bones Spinoff Around New Character
Steve Marsi at .Fox is working on a series that revolves around a new character who will be introduced on Bones December 6, according to new reports. His name? Walter Sherman.
The star of this potential Bones spinoff is described as "skeptical of everything" and "an eccentric but amusing recluse in high demand for his ability to find anything."
"He suffered brain damage while overseas, which explains his constant paranoia, and is known for asking offensive, seemingly irrelevant questions to get to the truth."
The potential Bones spinoff's lead character shares a past with Seeley.
Walter is also a former military policeman who served with Booth in Iraq, but they don't get along. Dr. Brennan, meanwhile, will be intrigued by Walter when he first appears.
Turning the tables on him a little in the wake of Hannah's introduction, is she?
The character is expected to recur on Bones throughout this season, with the future of his own spinoff series contingent on whether a suitable actor is found to play Walter.
Hart Hanson, creator of Bones, is spearheading this project as well. Thoughts? Sound like an intriguing idea to you, or a waste of time? Chime in below with your comments.
