The Walking Dead to Meet The Vampire Diaries on The CW

The CW hopes to rock its ratings out of a slumber with a new script purchase.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the network has purchased the rights to Awakening, a new drama from Canadian writer/producers William Laurin and Glenn Davis.

The site describes the drama, which may premiere this fall, as the story of "two sisters who come of age and face off against one another amidst the beginning of a zombie uprising."

So... sort of The Walking Dead meets The Vampire Diaries? We'd totally watch that! How about you?
