Entourage Movie: Confirmed by Creator

at . Comments

It's been the worst kept secret in Hollywood, and it was confirmed at The Television Critics Association press tour last night:

"We're going to do a movie," Entourage creator/producer Doug Ellin said. "It's a question of when and how quick."

Mark Wahlberg, the producer on whose life the show is loosely based, has been behind the project for years.

"If I had to finance it myself, I would do it," he said last night. "I certainly hope that this has a chance to become a feature film. People have always complained that the episodes are too short and they want to go on a journey with these guys."

The summer has been a boon for R-rated comedies, from Bridesmaids to Horrible Bosses to Bad Teacher. Wahlberg cites another example, though, for his vision of an Entourage movie: "The Hangover, to me, is very much like Entourage."

Are you excited to see the series on the big screen?

Entourage Quotes

Ari: I came here today because I thought this was a session on how my wife could learn to communicate. How to answer a question without a question: basic Humanity 101. Which I thought, given your wall of fucking diplomas, you could easily fix. Or if you couldn't, you could give her a pill that could either fix it or make her a mute. But now to turn around and gang up on me! I have work to do! I have hundreds of clients to deal with. And just so we're clear; I don't care about any of them. They're all just a number: Like Wife number one and Therapist number seven. Good day!
