With its fourth season premiere in the motherland, Jersey Shore has gone global. The world may never forgive us, with Florence the new epicenter of anti-Americanism.

There was culture shock. There were hookups between the cast members. There was a lack of tension, and at the same time, a sense that things will soon boil over.

While the season premiere didn't quite live up to the hype, it did set up a couple of key developments and offer plenty of amusing/disturbing quotes to go around.
