Gossip Girl Midseason Finale Promos: Crashing Down ...

at .

This week's Gossip Girl wasn't the most exciting, but it set the stage for the events of next week's midseason finale - especially on the Chuck-Blair-Louis front. Read our Gossip Girl review for our take on last night.

Looking ahead to Monday, Lily throws her faux niece Charlie a party to introduce her to New York society, while her vengeful, spurned ex Max is bent on throwing a wrench into her plans to become an UES princess.

Meanwhile, Dan decides it may be time to tell Blair the truth about his feelings for her, while it looks like Chuck is on the verge of doing the same. Things are about to reach a boiling point for both Chair and Dair.

And from the looks of two promos, there will be a car crash. One with severe consequences.

Will there be casualties of the wreck? How will it all play out for our favorite characters, and where will things pick up on January 16, with the royal wedding / 100th episode looming two weeks later on January 30?

Take a look at these two promos for "Riding In Town Cars With Boys" and comment below:

Gossip Girl Season 5 Episode 10 Quotes

Lily: Just because Carol made a mockery of her own debut does not mean Charlie should be cheated out of the experience.
Rufus: Yeah, she hired Karen Finley to go in her place and when Carol's name was called, Karen walks out wearing nothing but chocolate and a pillbox hat.
Lily: Now I'm a Karen Finley fan, but it was a bit much. We were barred from the Plaza for years.

Apologies have been made and the security breach fixed. But two weeks later, still not one tip. Apparently no on can hold a grudge like an Upper East Sider. And no one can lie like one either.
