Meredith Baxter to Guest Star on Switched at Birth

One of the most famous mothers in TV history is headed to ABC Family in another matriarchial role.
Meredith Baxter, best known for her long-time role on Family Ties, will appear on one episode of Switched at Birth in early 2012. According to TV Guide, the veteran actress will portray Bonnie Tamblyn Dixon, Kathryn's mom and Daphne's biological grandmother. Look for major tension to arise during a visit from the character.
Switched at Birth returns with new episodes on January 3.
