Ahead on Psych: Indiana Jones, The Shining and More

at .

Psych returns next Wednesday with its winter premiere, and in case you weren't already excited enough for it, consider what James Roday told reporters today on a conference call:

"I would probably say it's my favorite of the Despreaux episodes. [It's] sort of a Spielberg adventure, swinging from things and running and blowing up boats... I also got to work with Madchen Amick, who was my first TV crush."

The title of the installment? "Indiana Shawn & The Temple of the Kinda Crappy Rusty Old Sword."

Following this homage to Indiana Jones, viewers can look forward to "Here's Lassie," an episode directed by Roday and described by the star as a "tribute to The Shining."

"We also send up The Bachelor, that comes later in the season," Roday previews. " The reality looking-for-love thing, and then we close the season with a little nod to Chinatown, which we callĀ Santabarbaratown."

Of course they do.

Among the notable guest stars during the run of episodes to come: Lou Gossett Jr., William Shatner, Jaleel White and Anthony Anderson.

We can't wait.
