Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan Cast as Masters of Sex

Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan will anchor an upcoming Showtime drama.

The Oscar nominee and the TV Fanatic favorite (recurring at the moment on New Girl) will star as real life sexuality pioneers William Masters and Virginia Johnson in Masters of Sex, the pilot for which will start production in March.

In the 1960s, Masters and Johnson helped set off a sexual revolution through their research, as the series will be based on Thomas Maier's book "Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love."

No premiere date has been scheduled yet.
