With its must buzzed-about series returning last night, HBO didn't waste its first trip to Westeros in months. It used the opportunity as a platform to hype other programs on the way.

Prior to the Game of Thrones premiere, viewers were treated to the first extended trailer for True Blood season five, while the network also debuted a two-minute trailer for Newsroom.

Heck, HBO even looked far ahead, teasing the fall return of Boardwalk Empire in the following preview, preparing fans for a "new year" with "new rules" - but the same old Nucky, of course. Watch now as he gives a very simple order: Put a bullet in his f-ckin head.
