Ian Somerhalder on THE KISS: Quite a Build Up!

at . Comments

“It was definitely three years for us on the show, but I think our season is about six months each. You figure about a year and a half of them knowing each other. It’s a pretty big build up!”

So said Ian Somerhalder today during an interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, obviously addressing the most buzzed-about moment - or few moments, really - from last Thursday's "Heart of Darkness."

The actor and the host touched on a number of other topics, as well, including Ian's charity work and a certain sought after movie role:

Would he star as Christian in Fifty Shades of Grey? "Potentially. I absolutely would be up for that. I have the book and I just started reading it. That would be a pretty incredible thing, and hopefully that could pan out, I think... Yes, beyond the shadow of a doubt I think that would be a phenomenal opportunity!”

On The Ian Somerhalder Foundation: It is a giant effort on behalf of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation and all of our amazing partners. In 2006 in Estonia a young businessman looks around and sees all the trash all over his country and says, 'You know what this isn’t good. Let’s clean it.’ They rally together a portion of the countries population, and they did it all in one day...

Now one year in the making. Over 2,000 schools signed up in Claifornia and more people than you can count... to clean the entire state of California in one day. Everywhere. From tip to tip. We went for it. Thank you guys for listening to it, and thank everyone for helping with everything that went into it. I think it’s a milestone. I think it’s a thing that’s unprecidented. We’re going to do it every year in a state, and in a couple years just how clean the United States of America will be!

Vampire Diaries Quotes

You want a love that consumes you. You want passion and adventure, and even a little danger... I want you to get everything you're looking for. But for right now, I want you to forget that this happened. Can't have people knowing I'm in town yet. Goodnight, Elena.

Damon: You know what they are? Children. Like lighting a candle's going to make everything OK, or even saying a prayer. Or pretending Elena's not going to end up just like the rest of us murdering vampires. Stupid, delusional, exasperating little children. And I know what you're going to say: 'It makes them feel better, Damon.' So what? For how long? A minute, a day? What difference does it make? Because in the end, when you lose somebody, every candle, every prayer is not going to make up for the fact that the only thing you have left is hole in your life where that somebody that you cared about used to be. And a rock with a birthday carved into it that I'm pretty sure is wrong. So thanks, friend. Thanks for leaving me here to babysit. Because I should be long gone by now. I didn't get the girl, remember? I'm just stuck here fighting my brother and taking care of the kids. You owe me big.
Alaric: I miss you too, buddy.
