This week on Once Upon a Time, we witnessed how evil begat evil, as Barbara Hershey was chilling in the role of Regina's frightening mother.

When this ABC hit returns, meanwhile - it's on hiatus on April 24 - we'll watch as evil betrays evil.

So teases the following trailer for the aptly-titled "The Return," in which Mr. Gold will try to uncover the identity of August; Emma will confront Regina over Kathryn’s disappearance; David will attempt to reconcile with Mary Margaret; and, in the fairy tale world, Rumplestiltskin will do whatever it takes for his son to give up his powers and turn back into the loving man he used to be.
