TV Ratings Report: Mad Men Sets Record

The Mad Men Season 5 finale garnered record ratings for that AMC hit last night, bringing in 2.7 million viewers and becoming the most-watched finale in show history.

Overall, the drama averaged 2.6 million for this set of 13 episodes, a 15 percent improvement over Season 4.

Elsewhere:

  • The True Blood season premiere was on par with the Season 4 opener. Including its second airing, 6.3 million households tuned in for the episode storyline-packed episode.
  • Longmire actually improved upon its impressive pilot ratings, with episode number-two improved 22 percent in the key 18-49-year old demographic.
  • The season finale of Veep brought in 1.1 million viewers.
