Prepare to get into a New York State of Mind on Glee Season 4, fans, because the show will be spending a great deal of time in The Big Apple.

Following a set visit by Vulture, we can confirm a number of upcoming storylines, songs and spoilers, all of which are based on Rachel and Kurt residing on the East Coast and taking the next major step in their lives.

Glee Set Shot

To wit:

  • They will become roommates in Brooklyn, with Rachel of course living there due to her acceptance into NYADA and Kurt soon joining her after growing bored of life in Lima.
  • Kate Hudson's dance instructor will be named Cassandra July, while Sarah Jessica Parker - pictured above in a Twit pic from the set - will portray Isabelle Klempt, a employee who mentors Kurt and also gives Rachel a makeover.
  • Early on, in order to impress Cassandra and prove she can be sexy, Rachel will cover "Oops!... I Did It Again." And she'll receive help with it from Dean Geyer's Brody Weston, who will serve as a love interest to the newly single Ms. Berry.

Said Geyer, who will recur this season: “New York’s cooler, the stakes are a little higher. It’s a completely different world from the original Glee. Rachel has to adapt quickly.”

Finally, look for Blaine to sing a version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and Brittany to express sadness over missing Santana via Britney Spears’ “Everytime."

And look for Glee to return on Thursday, September 13.

Glee Quotes

Rachel: I'm just scared. I haven't been this scared in my whole life. You know, when I was in high school and I had all these big Broadway dreams, I just got used to everyone laughing at me and I figured one day I would make it and I would show them that I'm not a joke anymore. And then I did and it all fell apart and I realized that there is a whole different kind of lauging that is way worse. So...I can't. I can't fail again.
Mercedes: Rachel, we're all going to fail again and again...the hardest part is just getting up, shaking it off, and getting on with it. Let me tell you this, when you sing? Nobody's laughing.

God as my witness, I will break her down.
