He may be off Scandal, but he won't be off your TV screens for long.

Henry Ian Cusick will appear on three episodes of The Mentalist Season 5, Deadline reports, coming on board the CBS drama as Tommy Volker, a Richard Branson-like millionaire who falls under suspicion when a television reporter is murdered.

As previously confirmed, Lisbon will grow obsessed with this case and relate to Patrick Jane's killer instinct more than ever throughout her dogged pursuit of Cusick's character.

The Mentalist shifts to Sundays and returns on September 30.
