Bates Motel Promos: Coming to A&E!

A&E hopes viewers will check into Bates Motel in 2013.

The upcoming drama is a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, focusing on Vera Farmiga as Norma Bates and delving into her relationship with Freddie Highmore's Norman, who anyone familiar with the source material is aware turns into a serial killer after his mother passes away.

Produced by Carlton Cuse, Bates Motel will debut at some point in the next few months - and, based on the network's first teasers, it won't exactly be for the faint of heart...
